Why would you ever want to do this? The entire point of them is to use them as food for ranking up other champions.

The only exception to this is legendary champs, for which they added the unbinding or empowering options to get value out of them, if you don't want to go with the vault guardian approach.

I'm simply asking a question. When would you ever want to sell a champion for silver?

Kram is being logical. I'm not sure how much of the forum you've actually read but he is quite vocal when there are things in the game he doesn't like. 

Using your excess champions as chickens is selling them, essentially. You're trading that champion for time and progress. 

I was out of silver and had no artifacts to sell.  Was trying to equip artifacts on a champion and was thinking that maybe it'd be nice to be able to sell some of the champions I had laying around.  

Didn't really have a need for food at the time.  Was just trying to come up with another way to get some silver.

Silver is a LOT easier to get than champions. By about, idk, 1700 times? smh

Would be a nice option , let's say you have plenty of food grinded up , no decent champ to rank up , but could use more silver ... 

Could just be an option , heck if anything people selling champs for silver might be more inclined to buy shards ? :P 

Not that i would use it , maybe rarely when i need few more K in silver to do something but even then .. rather grind 12-3 and get shields and silver over wasting potential food/exp food !
