my understanding is that tier placement is based on point totals rather than win/loss records. by chance do you remember what your final total was (roughly)?

I'm ballparking it, but somewhere around 2.5M points. We got the 2nd to last reward, but couldn't get the top one at 3.6M.

that'd explain it. the lowest total for tier II this time around was almost 2.9 million, so anything under that would've placed you into tier I.

Yep. CvC is solely based on your previous score, not average scores or anything such.

It just shows that players seem to be willing to spend more and more on CvC....I do not know why....because the rewards are not really that outstanding. 

It could be clan peer pressure.  

2.5m is 80k each, that is easily doable with not much more than daily activity if you use your fw keys and tag tokens. 

Oh I'm not suggesting that we couldn't have done better. It was just a bit of a shock to drop three ranks from one week's results.

went from T5 to T4 with 4.5m so it seems like people may have gone a bit hard last time around.

One  thinng  my  clan  leaders,  and  others,  fail  to  recognize  is  that  tier  placement  is  determined  entierly  by  the  most  previous  cvc  score  (and  the  effects  of  that  fact).    E.g.  If  you  push  hard  for  personal  rewards  one  time,  then  the  next  round  (when  there  are  no  personal  rewards)  your  clan  will  be  in  a  high  tier,  with  the  possibility  of  better  rewards,  and  at  the  same time  they  will  be  telling  you  not  to  push  because   there  are  no  personal  rewards.    Then,  during  the  next  round,  when  there  are  personal  rewards,  your  clan  is  in  a  crap  tier  and  you  are  being  told  to  push  because  there  are  personal  rewards.    This  is  really  the  worst  strategy  I  can  think  of.    It  results  in  decent  personal  rewards  every  other  cycle,  and  crap  alliance  rewards  EVERY  cycle.    (One  cycle  with  good  possibility  but  crap  encouragement,  the  next  cycle  with  crap  possibility  and  high  encouragement.)  

I've  been  in  the  position  of  recieving  both  T6  personal  and  clan  rewards  for  a  good  while  before  I  took  a  break.  I  think  the  clan  rewards  are  much  better  than  personal.    I  think  the  best  strategy  is  to  do  your  best  every  cycle.

Honestly, I think there should be two changes:

1. First and foremost, I think your tier should only move up or down by one. You shouldn't ever move up or down several tiers.
2. Secondly, I think rather than using just the most recent CvC result to determine ranking, they should use the rolling average of the previous four CvC results.

These two together should avoid both the problem of moving too quickly up or down, and of moving too often because of one week's result being worse or better than normal.

You are matched against the clan who got the closest to your clan's score last CvC. 

The clan in your current matchup also performed at a "Tier 1" level, just like yours. If they were Tier 1 already, should they move up 2 tiers to match your clan's fall to only Tier 3? Should they be in a lower Tier than your clan cause you shouldn't fall more than 1?

And rolling averages seem like a good idea, except most clans change A LOT over 2 months. It isn't realistic to have it this way with the clan turnover the way it is.

It is interesting that my clan got over the Tier 5  final rewards and STILL dropped to Tier 4. Personal Rewards are creating some serious competition.

The way I manage the fall/rise of our Tiers is by having us get at least the final rewards in each CvC. By doing so, we seem to stay at Tier 5, and occasionally end up in 6 and occasionally drop to 4. So far, over these 30ish CvCs, we always either move back from 4 to 5, or drop down from 6 to 5 after a single CvC at the other rank.

What used to be the natural flow of things in CvC certainly feels like it's changed with rapid fire personal rewards. I kind of thought average scores might trend down a bit in the T4/5 range with what, 4 out of 5 CvC being personal rewards? I was very, very wrong.

Maybe it finally tails off a bit with this many in a short span?

Very much liked by Plarium...but not neccessarily a strategy which would mean using your ressources at the mopst efficient way. This just means you are always going all in.

Don't be an idiot.  I said do your best, not spend your grandmother's inheritance.  Doing your best each time means being consistent.  To me it means I don't go from T2 to T5 and back and forth every time. 

Can someone know if we change clan after the CvC we lose our personal Tier progression and go down to TIER 1  or if i stay on my acutal tier on the next CvC on my new Clan ?

This is false, as a late/end game f2p I can do 300k without breaking a sweat.. mid game should be able to do 200k, early game 100k.

Tag alone i get 70k for just 45 gems (3 refills). I will probably be closer to 85 90 just from tag since I did 2 40 gem refills already. Obviously those in silver will be less, but guessing 50k + still.

Only booking during cvc, ascension, fw keys, gh (0 for me since maxed), the 2x dungeon if not dragon (fuk plarium for points here lol).

I actually use most energy in 12.3 brutal still, so I am far from maximum point efficiency.  

Sure I am missing some other easy points, just going off top of my
