Friend Shields

Here's an idea I'm throwing out there after seeing a friend's city get demolished cuz she couldn't get back online for a few days... Friend Shields.

It could be either a special item or just an added capability to activate a shield for your friend. There are ways to limit it if there is concern that this would be abused. You could have a 12 hour limit and only be able to add a shield to someone whose shield has already dropped. Since they've likely already been burned before a clan mate actually notices and reacts this would at least give them a chance to begin recovering resources and stop people from farming them down to nothing before they can come back online. I've seen in some games where a short shield is automatic after a person has been attacked. This would be something similar but would depend entirely on the help of the unlucky person's clan mates and still gives the small bit of hope that they'll be seen unshielded and rescued before an attack. It's just hard to sit by and watch a friend get burned when there's nothing you can do. ._. lol

That's actually not a bad idea, but it should have A VERY short limit imo.

One, two hours max. It would have saved me more than a couple of times...

... This is especially relevant due to small amount of troops (compared to onslaught numbers) that can reinforce a town anymore

Thanks, one good idea and I'm ready to retire. Lol. But..

I disagree with keeping them short, mostly because these incidents usually happen after a player goes to sleep or to work and a couple hours won't cut it. I don't think it would affect the game negatively with a longer friends shield option, but I can imagine it would be frustrating if a clan had to throw another shield and another and another..and you know many would try when they see one of their heavy hitters in that situation... Cuz it wouldn't take long for an enemy to notice and time an attack right when the shield popped. The clan wouldn't be too happy about those wasted shields (which would no doubt cost mucho loyalty points)  and I don't see the shield having much positive effect on the game from there. I'm a pessimist tho. XD

There are hardly any opportunities to attack towns ... people need to make sure they keep shield ... something like this would pretty much guarantee there would be no towns to attack with anything of great value.  Yea of course I would like for our clan members but well I also like that we can attack other kingdom's clan members that have forgotten their shields. 


This game has already practically turned into a make (train) troops game where most competitions are determined by who makes (trains) more troops ... people are training troops not because they need them but because it is easy way to get points for competitions ... (I am going to do a thread on this soon.)


Also I do agree that since onslaught numbers have increased and increased it would be nice to see an increase in the amount of reinforcements a town can have ... maybe I do a thread on that also ... or maybe MEE wants to do that thread ... but is great idea.

CIM is right there is almost nothing to attack, poeple are shielding too fast because of the favorites, the increase of reinfcements should be done through knowledge.
