Why train higher tier troops?

I understand this is a newbie question but I don't understand why train higher tier troops...

I expected higher tier troops to have more than twice the offense/defense capabilities because they cost twice in food for keeping them alive.

To a newbie it looks like training two of the lower tier troops is more efficient than training one higher tier, what am I missing?

Thanks for your advice :)

Youre right, as far as efficiency goes. March sizes are limited and if you want as much power s possible then you'll need those upper tier warriors. They are useless though, early in gameplay, in my opinion.

theres no point having higher tier troops unless you have the knowledge to back them up in my opinion,

theres also no point in buying gold packs with troops in them as they are usually T6 and a waste of money unless you have T6 knowledge, buy boosts, hero energy and resources unless your in a good clan that will help with resources, also  packs containing prophet and extra builder are great but usually are in the higher priced packs.

when you first start just stick with T1 work on your knowledge before you start making higher T level troops.

it also depends what direction you want to go in the game if you just want to farm for a while until you build up your city then go for T1 siege as their capacity is better than other T1 troops, as you grow in knowledge train higher level troops, tier 1-V troops knowledge is good to have also training knowledge to cut the cost of making troops,

also if you later decide to become a fighter just choose a couple of different types of troops to make, you wont use all the troop types later in the game, i would guess that  around 90% of players who attack use either meele or siege or a combination of the two, you also wont use all the tiers when you attack you need to do it quickly so selecting loads of different types of troops you just wont have time to do, if you intend to stay shielded i really wouldnt bother too much with tier 2 or  tier 3  use T1 while you study knowledge and get up to T4, a good tip is try to make at least 1 million T1 if you intend to fight later they are cheap to make and disposable because of this, never use gold to resurrect T1 troops its a waste of gold, use your gold for shields,

ps remember influence is important and influence created from high troop numbers can be taken off you if you are hit, knowledge influence on the other hand can't be taken off you,

my tips would be

Join a good clan that will help you grow their helps can greatly reduce the time it takes to do upgrades,

grow slowly work on good knowledge,

dont buy troops its a waste of money

and most of all have fun enjoy the game thats the most important thing

The advice not to focus on higher tier troops in the early stages of the game is good.  However your original idea that two tier 1 troops are better than 1 tier II is mistaken.  In calculating which of two armies is the larger the game counts as follows:  T I = 1 ; T II = 2.2 ; T III = 3.6 ; T IV = 5.2 ;  T V = 7 ; T VI = 9.

one other thing when you have high numbers of troops you wont worry about food because your food will be permanently in the red, you  wont hold any food at all, thats where the clan help comes in they supply you with food for upgrades, you will end up with just 1 farm in your city and most likely hyper farm one of the other resources for the clan

If you just start the game, you must train a lot of t1 units for farm. Then you must open t4-t5 units as fast as you can for war.
Simple tactic

around 30 mil troop in town and they eat nothing... VIP + hero tree + scroll allow you to go over the 100% reduction food use...

wish that starvation give a attack buffers... hungry troop are more angry :p

That's really interesting, would you elaborate on that for a newbie that knows nothing about "hero tree" and "scroll"?

Thanks :)

There are many ways you can play this game, there's the efficient way and the exciting way, you have to pick which suits you best.

When you first start you are often in the dark as the best way to proceed, especially if you are restricted by lack of resources  and certain aspects of the game where it forces to follow certain paths, in order to progress.

Its very common for people who are advanced in the game to make suggestions to  beginners, having forgotten what limitations novices face.

Tip, look at every page that opens on your game to see what is there, and try to work out what it does. Ask Questions.

There are  two main trees to look at, and at first you will not be able to do much with them.

The first tree is the Hero tree, which has two parts to it .by increasing your Hero's  influence you are awarded points which you can distribute according to your needs.

The second tree is the knowledge tree, found in the oracle, the purple crystal building. this has many more branches than it once had, and again there are several options as to which  route you follow.

Should you still be playing long enough to get that far, a third tree, the Shaman tree, similar to the Hero tree,  will open  up to you once you reach Palace 12 , by then you should be familiar enough with the game to know what to do.

Not sure on this , but scroll  might refer to an item that is needed  when you are in a clan  that has a Stronghold, .you need scrolls to build it and for other processes  afterwards.

Its very common for people who are advanced in the game to make suggestions to  beginners, having forgotten what limitations novices face.

I will try to explain it from a beginner point of view...

First, you must be in a clan and participate at least for 1 points in all clan event and global event ( cvc-kvk-kvkr )... by example, if there is a clan troop training event, you must at least train 1 t1...

As beginner, you don't do a lot of point... you duty is to grown as fast as possible... the big one from the clan do the big amount of point and you collect the reward in the form of gold and time nooster, along with some other goodies...

At the begin gold will be used for buy shield and VIP point... you need to reach VIP 8 as fast as possible because it give you autocompletion for personal and clan task... task give experience for shaman/hero, resource, gems, etc... autocompletion allow you to do a task in 2 click without waiting... they refresh every 6 hours...

If you are short on ressource, ask help to clansmate... the few million that you need are nothing for the big one of the clan...

Try to grow your hero lvl with task at first... best is to use clan task refresher... each legendary clan task give you 10000 clan pts, a epic 5000, etc... you can use these point in the clan store for buy again clan task refresher at 10000... with 50 clan task refresher for start, if you are lucky, you can end up with enough point for buy in the clan store 30 new one...

Once you hero have reach some level, you begin work on your hero invader skill... 10 pts top, 10 pts left second row, 10 pts right second row, 15 pts left third row, 15 pts right third row... once you reach lvl 60, 15 pts left second row, 15 pts right second row...

once you have some pts in the hero invader tree, you can begin kill invader... if possible, buy the hyperpack energy for hero... need to wait 8 week between purchase but you have plenty of energy and gold for only 4.99...

Without a lot of expensive research, you will not be able to hit high level of invader... but uber can always be hit... uber are strong and not easy to kill but they give you high quality material along with special gem as aquamarine ( research ) for example who cannot be obtain from normal invader...

By attacking uber, you increase your hero experience and lvl... and begin to collect vip pts from time to time... material collected will be used for build armor... at later stage, when you have plenty of material, you will be able to craft armor for various speciality...

With time, your vip lvl will increase... mine is lvl 18 now... as you can see below, with vip lvl 18, you have food consomption -26%

As for the hero, the left side is for combat... forget about it for the time being... work on the right side who is more the economical side...

Lot of people fill the tree from up to down... it is a mistake... every few level, reset your tree and fill from bottom to top... reason is simple... by example, a silver II give more % by pts that a silver I...

it will come a time when you have enough pts for assign to food consumption... at max, it is 20% reduction

much later, when you will begin to fight, you will use the hero set system... a set for left side of tree with combat armor, a set for right of tree for yielding, rss production, construction, research... in combat mode, if you have plenty of troop, you will probably be in red for food but once you go back to the set with the right side, troop will be eating less...

Same a big player with plenty of troop don't stay 24 on 24 in combat mode... so time that you are in red for food  is minimal...

When i was speaking of scroll, i mean the thing that you can see in the screenshot below...

If your clan is good in clan and global event ( 6 lvl ), you will have plenty of gold and you can buy shield and the 7day 75% great economy... if the clan is less good, and do usualy 3 lvl in event, limit yourself at the 50% ... don't use all your gold for great economy... you need it for shield, for maybe time booster and other goodies...

being the biggest in my clan, i do plenty of pts in event and gold is not a issue... so, i have vip -26%, hero -20% and scroll -75%... total -121% when in rest mode and -101% in combat mode... mean that troop eat nothing...

you can see how much troop in have in town in the screenshot below

and in the next one, see how much is all the troop upkeep

I play now for 1 year... so, time is needed to reach the level that i have now... have can be more fast but it will have burn my credit card...

And i will not have reach this level without my other cities... i have 5 cities... the account from the screenshot is the combat account and hyperfarm food... 3 other account hyperfarm wood/stone/iron... last account is my bank, really needed because of the high resource production who reach capacity every hours... need to empty the hyperfarm regulary in the bank...

These post was about how to reach a point where your troop eat no food at all but i have skip plenty of tip else the post will have be too much long... by example, it is important for your city to reach lvl 21 as fast as possible for the rss production... lvl 21 is the only lvl who double the production of each farm...

This game is so complex that a tutorial from "zero to hero" will need a book in several volume... my advice is too read these forum when you have free time... there is plenty of tutorial about everything along with tip and trick... these information can spare you plenty of real life money...

I read that one can have more than one city but I've seen no mention of the possibility of conquering one.

Am I missing something or one can have more than one account?

Thanks for your advice

I've never seen an official remark discouraging multiple accounts. A lot of people do it, most are open about it and all of them encourage it.

In this game in order to advance in latter stages you MUST have multiple accounts. Who will pay your knowledges that require an insane amount of RSS ? Credit card or hyperfarming. And who will fill stronghold with rss ? Same answer I guess

Dear, Jarls! The creation of several game accounts is not forbidden, but their usage must not involve acquiring any game advantages in an unfair way. Otherwise, such actions will be prevented by appropriate measures. Please visit our website to read our Terms of Use: https://plarium.com/en/terms-of-use/

Thanks Erna,

I'm not sure of the exact meaning of acquiring game advantages in an unfair way, creating a second account is always targeted at acquiring game advantages... when is fair and when not?

Is creating resources only (to be used by the main city) unfair?

I understand on the other hand that inhibiting the creation of additional accounts is near to impossible.

Anyhow there might be a bug, I've created (with a second account) a city that I've then relocated aside my first one.

Weird but they don't appear one aside the other even if coordinates are right, here their locations:

What's wrong here?

Thanks!!

well, i have 5 cities and never hide it

From left to right ... bank/hyperfarm food, hyperfarm stone, hyperfarm iron, hyperfarm wood, main account archer/spy specialist...

If it was not possible to have more account, i will have leave this game long ago due to the insane amount of rss needed for high level upgrade/research...

At lower level, most people have already 2 account... a main and a bank/hyperfarm... really needed for empty main regulary when production stop due to capacity reached...

1 year that i play and have be in a few clans... at least 80% of the player have 2 or more account... if more account was not anymore allowed, plenty will stop to play and this game will be dead for good...

As unfair use, i have somehow see it in other kingdom... where people create hundred of account for simply fill all the room in the stronghold from a ennemy clan making it difficult for play... they are usualy lvl 1 cities who do nothing... but use of multiple account like this is rare... if plarium was cleaning dead cities below lvl 5, who have never buy something at the bank and are inactive for month, it will solve plenty of problem and make room for new cities who want to really play...

can you post 2 screenshot of the map with your cities... where we can see the number from the kingdom

When you create a new city, it is usually in a younger kingdom... a relocation will not work since you are in a other kingdom... before lvl 6, if you have never relocated, you need to use the "great relocation" who allow you to jump to a other kingdom... beware, you have only 1 great relocation and can use only 1 time... dissappear if you have alredy use a normal relocation within the kingdom where the city was created...

my 5 cities was all created in different kingdom and have use the great relocation for jump in the kingdom of my main account

In my newbie opinion there should be a mechanism where when I attack a city it can eventually become mine when all its troops are destroyed,

concquering an already developed city (that costs troops) should be more advantageous than simply creating a new account.

My two cents

@ANESFAN

thanks, you've identified my mistake.

I should change second city location

to this

I got it that I have to use the large relocation tool but I don't know how to do it exactly

seem to be a fun idea but it is not...

Let say that you have play 1 year on PC and invest a lot of money growing your city... then plarium is again victim of a ddos attack and you are throw out of the game when you was without shield... now, you are zeroed and loose all your troop and rss to phone player who have not the ddos problem... if we use your idea, the poor victim of the failed ddos protection from plarium will loose his city too... there will be plenty of lawsuit...

There is peoples who invest hundred if not thousand of $$$ in their cities... each time that one loose his city, he will leave the game, stopping the flow of money to plarium... without money, plarium cannot subtain the server cost and it will be the end of the game...

A idea can seem fun but not being realistic when seing the big picture
