Sending and Hosting Reinforcements

I apologise for this as I'm sure there is already a thread on this topic somewhere but I couldn't find it.

1: How long will reinforcements stay in a clan mates town if they are not sent back?

2: Do any factors affect the amount of time allied troops will stay in a town such as having a shield, length of time without combat actions, length of time host is offline, etc..?

3: Can reinforcements be killed or just injured?

4: Whose combat stats (skills/knowledge/equipment, and so on) govern reinforcements; you or the host?

5: Do any active attack or defense bonuses affect the stats of troops that you send or host?

6: Who feeds them? ;D

Thanks in advance for your responses!

1. Forever unless they are killed because the town shield fell and the town was attacked.

2. Only thing that can cause a problem is answer to number 1.

3. Reinforcements are killed ... they can not be healed but can be resurrected ... except when there is a daily bonus that has 10% of troops that would go to resurrection go to healing.

4. The combat stats are determined by the person whose troops they are.

5.  I am not totally sure about that ...

6. The person whose troops they are feeds them.

Also, the host has the option to send the troops back as well.  Our clan has 1 town that we keep under shield constantly but is meant to hold troops. Before we had a few members who would go offline but forget to extend shield. Well we 'mostly' fixed that by having them send their troops to the 'host' when they were going offline and then recalling them when they came back online. The main issue for the host is that they can NOT jump spots or kingdoms while holding other troops.

Thank you for the responses!

RYANG - It's nice to have these answered in one place instead of scattered throughout various semi-relevant there's.

CIM - I appreciate how thoroughly you covered what you could. I'm surprised to hear that they will stay for an indefinite amount of time since I swear I've had them return automatically in the past. Just a fluke I suppose. Thanks again!

KITZEN - That's a handy method of protection in a bind, for sure. Thanks for the input.

Still wondering...

-Do any active attack/defense bonuses in home town or host town affect the stats of reinforcements?

-Do reinforcements that kill enemy troops in an attack gain event points for either the host or their home town?
