I'd like also to know --- sorry for going into a thread here..
But since it's an equipment.. Does it mean u can take it on/off the hero..... To like pause the timer ? --- OR is the time running from the time u put it on like 1h30m in a row?
It's ok if it runs like 1h30m - but I was just wondering

The item is located in the forge once purchased , where all your other equipment is. Just use it like other gear and equip the hero with it.
You will see the results of the % boost on your heros stats on the right side of the screen, once you equip the item, make sure to to update a hero set so you will always have the time boost.
From what I see, the item is like a VIP lvl boost - and seems to me to be a permanent boost once equiped.

Build a new town - I built another farm and was lvl 3 - and needed some gold for shields - went to the bank to see what was there, and low and behold the gear of the north was there in the offers .

There are multiple equips now when starting a new town, each one is basically double the strength of the one you just bought. The first one is an hour and a half speed up but the third one is 18 hour speed up, that's as far as I got but there would still be 2-3 more pieces to buy yet. They all add together as well, so hour and a half added onto the 18 hour means you get 19 and a half hours free speed up.

I'd like to clarify something here... The "instant upgrade for 1hr30min" is not what it sounds like. It's more like an instant upgrade OF 1hr30min. Think of it like the free instant speed up you get from your VIP level. Once your upgrade is down to the given time, you can instantly finish it. They probably could've found a better way to word that.
Also, it is in fact equipment. It can be equipped and removed just like any other gear but it can not be created in the forge.
Everyone's hung up on the "free instant upgrade" thing so here's the deets... The "free instant speed up" times vary depending on which item you purchase (weapon, armor, amulet, etc..) and the bonuses are stackable! If you collect all 6 pieces, I think the instant finish time goes up to 3 days or something like that. The "instant finish" time you get from your VIP level is also added in. Obviously, that won't be a huge benefit for long because you can blow through all the shorter upgrades as fast as you can click through them, provided you have the resources, and will quickly reach longer upgrades that actually require patience (or boosts).
The long term benefit of this equipment is in the other bonuses, like resource yielding... Centurion's Gear is no match.
If you wanna know more, create a new account and break the budget with 5 packs at increasing costs. (I think the amulets come as a pair, and the price reflects it) Happy hunting!

I'm in the same boat I got the 1500 gold but "the axe of the north" I can't find been looking all day also missing the 75k x 8 RS?...any help thanks

Give click on your hero icon, on the left and on the right you have 3 circles corresponding to the equipment that you put on. Select the first circle on the right and you should have every wepon created or bought, axe of North included. Select the axe, put some gems into it and you are good to go.

so if you have been playing for a little wile (a few weeks) and I bought the helmet and axe, but i did not buy the other pieces. Does this mean that I will never see it offered in the bank again. Thank you.

Since Axe of the north is the weakest item of them all, I would expect that it is offered to players first when they are at a certain low level. Once you pass this level, you start seeing the more powerful items of the pack. You probably cannot find it because you have passed that level 
At level 8 I can see the Helmet and Armor.
At level 12..... same, but at level 15 I see helmet, Boots, and Amulet.
You probably need to be at a lower level than 8.

I believe it is true to say that the axe of the north only appears for a new account.
I do not know at which palace level this happens,except likely less than,or equal to palace 5.
I do know that the other equipment of the north items tend to appear and disappear according to various parameters of game progress.
Its possible you grew too fast and you may have already missed out on the axe of the north,or not progressed enough yet.
