Your perception of women. Oh dear oh dear. Are you all lonely men?

Hi there.

Judging by your soft porn artwork of a female warrior going into battle in her underwear, it seems your perception of women, and your perception of what your audience want to look at, is a bit tragic. Are you all lonely men by any chance, who spend their weekends alone playing computer games and do not have sisters, mothers, daughters or real life girlfriends?

I just clicked on this game for the 1st time. I am female. I have children, who would love a Viking warrior game like this. Except that they are female. Actually even if they were male i would still refuse to let them play a game where they see an image like this of a woman. Why? You do know? In case you don't, it is because of what it does to their body image and because it reasserts the view of those who objectify women as sex objects. It won't help you get a real nice girlfriend or keep one. And so on.

Like me, my children get dressed to leave the house, to go to battle in its many modern subtle forms.

If you have to undress your fantasy women, then let's see you undress your male warriors too, so... nothing more than jock straps, for fighting with spears, please.

Make sure you wax their back, sack and crack first though.

Cheers folks. I'm off to the real world.

Tell me, where did you see porn artwork? I've never saw this in a game Vikings. All female warriors are undressed within the bounds of decency. What's the problem?

I think they just use aggressive advertising to attract the maximum of people. That's all.

Well as a woman ... it would be nice to have more than one avatar (which is the one I chose, not here in forum because this is from another game) that isn't overly "showing it off" ... yes within limits ... but whose limits ... so yea I live with it ...

I mean do we have male avatars with big "bulges you know where" ... it is well a bit of a turn off for some women to be so sexualized ...

Welli don't really see any difference between these two Heroes, and i am not really sure where did you see the image that you talk about. As far as I know there are no such images in the game.

I'm also a female with kids, and I really could care less what the artwork depicts in a fantasy game that is in no way, shape, or form meant to be taken as realistic. It falls to the parent to teach a child the difference between a game and reality. It seems to me that the OP is just looking for reasons to pick a feminism argument, without actually taking into account that the character artwork doesn't affect game play in any way, shape, or form except a brief glance at the screen when switching gear. And if you have your hero gear and points setup with memory points, you don't even have to do that much.

Do what I do. Focus on what you need to do to zero your opponents and help your clan grow. You'll be a lot happier.

As a woman and a gamer i dont see it , i dont see any artwork here that is Porn nor is it soft core porn , i dont see any nudity no bare breasts no bare butts they are all covered i think you need a better understanding of what soft core porn is .  , i see artwork that is done in the style of comics which i actually enjoy. As far as childern its the parents job to monitor what their childern play. If woman fully covered in fantasy clothing is too much for your child then dont let them play thats your call. I find it a bit over the top to say  "Are you all lonely men by any chance, who spend their weekends alone playing computer games and do not have sisters, mothers, daughters or real life girlfriends? " You are stereotyping yourself using that and made your argument mute in my eyes. From my Perspective they just made a badass looking women that can take your head off without trying thats how i see it. If you want your females dressed head to toe in a burka go make your own game see how well it does with the masses.
