Can anyone explain the stats on some of the new shaman gear, " Stats Defending or capturing Fortress" Which part of it is defending and which part is Capturing, when is the stats active... description of it is highly misleading...

In my opinion It needs to be a description of it...

To my understanding Capturing is when you send troops towards something and defense is when you have troops in there defending.

If I have understood it right, then Capturing means before the shield has come up on PoP and Defending means after shield has come down... but I feel everyone needs to get clarity in that.

Would highly like to get this clarified as otherwise it would be stupid to spend the materials you have gathered for months on something you don't know how the mechanic is working on.

Just my 2 cents.

Rewriting since i could not edit the first post for some reason.

Is there no one that has an answer to this?

I’m wondering if the update re-configured Ubba’s Gear to be a cross between Lynx and Saracen Gear.

Capturing stats are only when attacking POP.  If defend, you get nothing from it.  Defense is the opposite.  It ONLY is effective when guarding pop.  The capturing stats would have no effect.

What reference do you have for that claim?

It's not defined as attacking or defending, It is defined as capturing and guarding, and that process is totally different as I see it.
Capturing PoP to me means before you have gotten shield up on PoP (PoP is not captured until shield is up IMO), while Guarding means after shield has come down on PoP...

If it was as simple as attacking or defending PoP why use a new description of it by calling it capturing or guarding?

Since there is no clarity in this I would like to know before I start spending hard earned materials on shammie or Hero armor.

I havent looked into this, but is it possible that it is something to do with an update that hasn't happened yet? I haven't seen any of the big players with Aes.

People where questioning a previous update and the adminstrator said " we dont tell you everything, you have to figure some things out for yourselves".

Well, all I know is they don’t call it capturing defending PoP anymore.  They use the term “Fortresses”; what does that mean?  Your Town?  Clan mates Town?  Enemy Town? Tile? PoP?

All of the above?

Within the Game a description of the Jarl’s Town:  A Jarl’s Town is your Fortress...

Reading between the lines fortress could be referring to the pop and the throne of Jotunheim, so when attacking the pop or the throne of Jotunheim you would use the gear with the capturing stats and when defending them you would use the gear with the guarding stats. Could be wrong though.

This is my thought as well, and to be fair why create armor that has no explanation on how the stats work, and why spend materials on something when you dont know if and how it works^^ Materials are hard earned and therfor i think its fair to say the "gamesupport" owe us an explanation dont you think :)

100% Agree with you there I too will not be using any of my hard earned materials on making this new equipment until I know exactly what it for. When ubba's gear was released they said in the update it was specifically for capturing and guarding the pop so why there is no explanation for what this gear is designed to be used for is beyond me.

Guess that settles it , :) New descriptions of it in hero tree, if only that was mirrored in the description of it on the armor^^
