Proguide - Trap Account

Hey all, this guide will be focused on how to create a trap account.

First off, what is a trap account?

It's an account (usually used in KvK, and maybe CvC) where you try to get high level enemy players to attack you in order to gain points for the event. This is accomplished by keeping your influence as low as possible to make you seem weaker than you actually are.

Influence

 - In order to keep influence as low as possible it's best to

     - Not complete quests

These give you influence and add up over time

     - Keep only one of each resource building

You need at least one of each building since they are upgrade prerequisites for other buildings. Having any more buildings adds to your influence

     - Research only the needed knowledge

This varies from person to person. Here is my opinion on each knowledge section

Economic - This is the most useless section, besides the knowledge forced to learn in the tutorial it's best not to go further.

Military - The most important, for a simple trap account it's best to fully research the attack and defense of each troop type. I suggest going to at least the troop health and defense after catapults. And for a higher level trap account, researching the Troop offense, defense, and health during defense.

Espionage - This is optional, some people like going into this research section to better prevent players from learning the number of troops in their town, and their stats.

Training - This shouldn't be research, though it does help in troop training, it offers no stats.

Invaders - This section does have stats upgrades and reduce enemy stats, however it is the very end of the section, only research if you are going for a higher level trap account.

Hero - Though this gives quite of bit of stats it also gives a lot of influence. It's best not to delve into this section, however if you want you can.

Tier I-V Troops - Only research Tier 1 and maybe Tier 2 knowledge.

Tier VI Troops - You should not be researching any knowledge here.

Shaman - You should not be researching any knowledge here.

- Level 60 hero

This is very important, as the stats your hero gives will help significantly, specifically the reduce enemy health, offense, and defense. However there is no getting around the amount of influence a level 60 hero gives.

Buildings

 - In the beginning you will want a large amount of barracks and manors to train your army, however once trained you should replace most of the manors and barracks with infirmaries.

Hero

 - The most important skills are the three that reduce enemy health, offense, and defense, followed by Troop Health II and Troop Defense II

 - You will want a legendary lynx set, which in total gives:

Helmet - Fur Hood - Troop Offense during Defense 24% - Troop Defense during defense 24% - Total Defense 12%

Armor - Lynx Hide - Troop Offense during Defense 24% - Troop Defense during Defense 24% - Troop Health during Defense 24%

Weapon - Serrated Blade - Troop Offense during Defense 24% - Troop Health during Defense 24% - Total Defense 12%

Boots - Stealthy Boots - Troop Offense during Defense 24% - Troop Defense during Defense 24% - Troop Health during Defense 24%

Amulet - Lynx's Fang -  Troop Offense during Defense 24% - Troop Health during Defense 24% - Total Health 12%

Troops

It's best to train equal amounts of each troop type, since you do not know what type of troop the enemy will attack with. Stick to T1 and T2 troops as they give the least amount of influence. For a small trap account it's best to have 1-2 Million of each troop type, for high levels you will want tens of millions of each T1.

Shaman

If you have Inga you will want to use her for upgrading buildings and knowledge, as well as training troops.

If you want you can use Ulf, Wendla, Einar, or Steig to increase troop stats, or you can keep Baggi at stage one and use him to keep your influence down.
