An all-to-common cheat must be eliminated.

For nearly a year we have been plagued by "planted towns" that enter our kingdom for the sole purpose of giving away points to our opponents during Fury and KVK events. Permitting a clanless town to surrender points is a huge mistake by Plarium. All opponents can attack clanless towns without any loss of points. Being consistently in the top few kingdoms based upon influence, we are always facing the same opponents (also high influence) which makes us an easy choice for the cheating planted towns to select to move to. There are a variety of solutions to this problem.

Solution 1: attacking clanless towns earns no pts.

Solution 2: Net pts. lost by any town should be limited to a certain percentage of the town's non-troop influence.

Solution 3: No pts. can be earned by attacking a town that was formerly a member of your kingdom/clan.

The problem is not limited to town battles but occurs also on tiles.

Solution 4: all tile battles should be limited in score to the maximum number of T1 that would ever be used for yielding (150K for example).

The latest player to jump (a week ago) to our kingdom is now zeroed, having surrendered 2.49 Trillion influence points during Fury. Our opponents cannot be caught after this inexcusable scoring disaster allowed by Plarium.

You have my sympathy clarkiah.  Cheating on that scale is a pain.

Of course the total lack of moderator/admin/dev action makes the irritation worse.  I wonder how many high level players quit after encountering this sort of thing?  More than just a few I imagine.

plarium's problem seems to be a lack of staff with gaming experience.  Their efforts to foster a Vikings community disclose no understanding at all of their clientele.  It is seriously weird that the members of plarium's staff who play are some of the worst cheats.

It is also a little ironic that were plarium to acquire some experienced mods the game would be fairly easy to police.  That is because the cheats require a large town and put much more effort into building one (or more) up than in other games.  A couple of dozen bans with one or two trillion influence towns forfeited and the amount of blatant cheating would drop dramatically.

I won't be holding my breath though, the change of culture at plarium would have to be dramatic indeed.

It must be difficult for you to say that with a straight face.  Here is a post acknowledging cheating

""Karl Evans asked a question .

Does anyone have the Auto-It script for transferring Rss to the clan Stronghold ?

I have the one for Task Refreshers"

And here is the admins' response after submitting a ticket through the oddly named "Ask a question"

"Kindly note that we cannot investigate and take necessary measures based
on this, as this situation occur outside our game and as such, cannot
be processed."

Of course, like most of the potted responses, what it says is nonsense - the use of scripts takes place within the game it is only the evidence that scripts are being used which comes from outside. What the message does make clear is that plarium have zero interest in providing a fair gaming environment.

Hi John! It is the technical specialists who check the described cases and take the necessary measures, so if you are faced with any suspicious situation, you can definitely contact the technical specialists so that they can check it using internal tools. That why my advice was to create a ticket. 🙂
