Rework how you match opponents

I don't know what algorithm Plarium uses to match opponents in CvC / KvK, but it is warped.  We always end up fighting a clan or kingdom with the same overall influence as ours, but they always seem to have fewer players, and major maxxed accounts. It makes it impossible for us to set any traps, or to attack their traps.

Our current CvC opponents have half their overall influence in one account. We only have two days to work out when he might be asleep.

I know what you mean, our clan is 96b inf and the clan we have been matched with has a player in it who is over 50b inf, in this case they have well over half their overall inf in one account.

Pardon my ignorance, but how will knowing sleeping times help? Unless you mean you know when its safer to yield, but theres a flaw here too.If hes half the points, the rest together are half too, and theres more of them and they may be as equally if not more active.

I am curious as to how often traps actually work.

As these competitions are not designed to only score of the designated opponent, can you not look elswhere to lay traps or gain points?

Overall I agree with your point about  the need for  more equitable matches, in all events.

If your clan has a lot more members than your opponent then farming would be something you concentrate on ...
