If you don't like your clan leadership then go start your own clan ... why should people be able to vote the starter/leader out of the clan they started??? This just asks for abuse ...

It should not be to just change leadership. It should be an automatic call up when a Chief has been inactive for a set amount of time. It should be in the rules of starting a clan that if you become inactive for say 8 weeks then you will lose leadership of your clan. It could go to the Eldest Active Elder or a special position be devised that amounts to 2nd in command. If that position becomes inactive the clan Chief should be forced to choose a new one or by a vote of the active elders if the chief is inactive. Active Elders could be any on during a 1 week voting period.

Death is inevitable, Disability can be sudden. A good company will look out for their players and realize this. If you choose to not allow replacing inactive chiefs then the elders should be given the controls of the chief till or if they return. At the least any player leaving a dead clan should receive back any resources used to build a Stronghold. At that point they will be barred from rejoining it.

Yes is a problem for inactive chiefs and would good go deal somehow with that ... but to just have people overthrow an active chief I don't agree with. Also clans to protect the clan should have at least two people capable of connecting to chief account.

Yes, though it would be useful for the clan to take charge of it from an inactive chief could it be done fairly?

Also a good idea, but would seem to be at odds with the " no sharing rule", however some rules seem to be ignored,uninforced or changed, if it suits the company.

The solution is that the leader gives a trusted person his login and password in case of a crash.
I am the chief of my clan and also posede 5 other accounts, each of my 6 independent accounts, 6 facebook accounts, 6 google accounts, 6 email accounts ....
Of course I took care to write down all my login and passwords and connect me on tablet androïd or PC

Yeah start your own clan and lose any benefit from the hundreds of thousands of gold you have put into sh boosts as well as all rss donations to the sh.

I think it should be something like 8 weeks inactive, then leadership should pass automatically to the elder who next logs in. After all, that rank was promoted by the leader because they were already trustworthy...
Have an active leader is way better than no leader and giving up potentially a year of SH development and special items being unlocked.
