Fatal error on Plarium Play App

Hello,


when I try to start the plarium play app, I receive a popup with a fatal error.



The app quits after that.


Any ideas?

Pay attention please that you need to remove the previous version of Plarium Play App from your computer firstly.

Good morning Ivar,


how can I remove the app? I don't have an entry  in the Win Start Menu neither in the App settings. I only have the shortcut on the desktop.


Does an uninstaller exist?

Dear UKUST,

You could try to remove the App using the "Apps & Features" menu:

  1. Open the Start Menu;
  2. Search for “add or remove programs“;
  3. Click on the search result titled Add or remove programs;
  4. Look through the list of programs installed on your computer and locate and right-click on the program you want to uninstall;
  5. Click on Uninstall in the resulting context menu.
Also, you could try to find some other instructions about how to remove apps for different Windows versions.

thanks for the hint. But the way you described is that what I meant with " App settings". There is no programm like Plarium App listet.


Is it possible to talk to a developer? The app is much more better than the way to play with the browser......

I had the same issue after Play App update (Windows 10) and the second time at that.


  1. I uninstalled the app (with removing data files) from Windows' "Apps and Features" control,
  2. deleted all Plarium and Unity folders in the users AppData Local and LocalLow directories
  3. and then were able to re-install it.

Maybe it would be good to have the choice in the app that prior to install an update one would be able to log-out and clear the cache before.
Or this would be an automatism of any update.

I found a log left by plarium after having this issue, when I would click change directory.... in the log I noticed that it was trying to access an external drive that I had plugged in, but it was password protected. I removed this drive and thus solved the issue.
