Where are the Water bodies?

I broke an infest yesterday and I found an old Trooper in it. He was too old and I sent him directly to the Infirmary. After taking rest for the whole day, he came out today and when I started talking to him, I noticed he was lacking Modern knowledge.

You Know What?

He belongs to Pre-Historic Era. Before the massive nuclear war. When we were talking about How things were before the massive nuclear war, He said something about 'oceans'. I became eager and questioned him about it and he said

"There were huge bodies of water called Seas and Oceans. They were filled with saltwater which is not fit for drinking but can be used for other purposes."

I wonder what happened to those water bodies or we haven't seen them yet?

@Kavi Shankar (24 February, 2016, 6:16 PM UTC):
Yes, I know, you stated that he's old, but maybe he's old old :D

Old enough to have been alive when the Wastes weren't truly the Wastes (Yeah, at least a hundred years, more than 1,000 if I remember the lore correctly, but I suppose they have methods of preserving bodies alive :P )

Anyway, the nuclear war caused a climate change all around, which caused the planet's surface liquids to dissipate.

Yeah. He mentioned he did belong to the Pre-historic era. It would've been nice to have some extra water in the wasteland apart from the few cans my troopers stea... *coughs* takes from Gen.Winters sector.

Morgana probably stole it all...  She's a bit odd, in case you haven't noticed.  XD
