The boost applies to the base offense/defense power for your troops only, it doesn't apply to the value added by other boosts.  So if you have 1 bc that has a base offense of 1680, with level 20 techs it would have 1680*(1+0.4)=2352 offense.  With level 20 techs and a 50% offense boost it has 1680*(1+0.4+0.5)=1680*1.9=3192 offense.  NOT 1680*1.4*1.5=3528 offense. 

yes all my techs are lvl 20 can't remember if I have echelon active yet in those screen shots, but you can not apply any other  boost to offense or defense

while this 50/50 is in use it gives a warning it will kill the active one if applied so your statement about using it with others boost  is not true.

so its a false  advertisement & a waste of my money not a true 50% boost?

I get better boost to my total unit power with a 20% boost as I had a 20% active when I applied the 50/50 & it gave the warning & killed the 20% when I applied the 50/50.

  Edit: BTW it wasn't offense I was concerned about its defense I need to know about.

Actually that is why I never mentioned the 20% boost.  There are plenty of other boosts applied to troop power in the game (echelon, serums, clan hq, techs, hero items, etc). 

It is a 50% boost, but you have to remember that you're getting 50% of the base value, not the modified value from all the other boosts.  If you don't have the math knowledge to understand the difference between additive and cumulative multipliers you'll just have to trust me on this. 

Yea I knew there was no real help here on the forums, mostly was looking to see what others were seeing when applied.

It'd be nice if there were better explanations of what many things do in this game instead of us having to read between the lines with the ones that are given.

such as unit speed boost at the HQ, I'm sure its just the speed of the units that's boosted but some believes it also includes a build speed boost to all units as well?
