I create this new topic All about infests.

This is the place from now on on the forum to discuss, complain, ask, find answers and so on about infests.

I do this because on the old forum there were about 25 topics in different boards about the same thing: infests. This was getting confused and gave us a lot of extra work.

So to start clean on the new forum and make it more easy to find subjects we kindly ask you to use this topic from now on for everything concerns infests.

Please, if it is relevant, also use in the first sentence of your post the type of invest you are talking about. (normal infest, global mission, mission infests).

First i start with a copy of info from a infests page on FB and on the wiki. These contains interesting facts and figures.

Introduction
•    The infestations work based on a total resources figure Urainium + Titanium + Credits once that total figure is reached the site will payout, no matter how much of each resources is in it doesn't effect what gets paid back it is just based on the total only.
•    So based on that to get the fastest return you need to build the units that cost the most to build in the shortest time i call this loading as you are loading the resources into the infestations to reach that total figure in the shortest time possible before you finally break the site. You can't determine what you will win but if it is not a unit that you desire then simply invest the resources needed for another level and cap to get another win.
•    You can't loose resources but you can loose total power based on the units you win as some are more expensive than others, if you win air you will notice a decrease in power if you win artilley you will notice an increase in power. You can also get resources stuck in the infestations this happens when you have overloaded the site and that level can only pay so much back don't worry about this you can pull this resources back out again on the next infestation win.
•    How would you know what resources are in there??? Well you can either track via a spreadsheet or what i do is note how much my army is in resources when you start, when you win add up your total resources again what ever the difference is is whats left in the site.
 
Loading Phase
•    Ok so like i said earlier you need to load the most resources in the shortest time possible the best offense build combo is-
The best Offense combo is- Nemesis, Thunderbolts, Disintergrators, Exterminators Total resources every 24 hours = 589k per 24 hours
 
The best defense combo is- Combat Chassis, Vipers, Quantum Cannons and Excal's = 526k per 24 hours
 
The best all round combination for maximum resources per 24 hours and balancing the resources is-Nemesis, Thunderbolts, Quantum Cannons and Excal's = 608k per 24 hours
 
The best all round combination using elite's-
Nemesis, Thunderbolts, Quantum Cannons, Elite Disintergrator, Excal, Elite Exterminators = 912k/344 crystals per 24 hours

Basic 24 hour production values pre node and artifacts;
Infantry
Dog = 82k
Glad = 55k
CC = 93k
Trooper = 144k
Valk = 80k
Nemesis = 156k
 
Armour
Mongoose = 110k
Viper = 118k
light tank = 77k
Siege tank = 84k
Thunderbolt = 129k
 
Artillery
Gauss gun = 120k
Quantum Cannon = 123k

(Adding double - 10% air construction, double -5% disintergrator construction artifacts, relevant node upgrades for the build you wish to do will maximise what you can make in resources per 24 hours)
 
     •    You can load for what ever time you wish if a site needs for example 30 million resources to pay and you load for 10 days = 10 million resources simply make the difference up with your army to win back the 10 million investment if you dont wish to use your army then load of the time needed for that site to pay out on this occasion 30 million resources would mean 30 days loading before you break the site.

Breaking and winning from infestations
•    Offense infestations- To know how much it will take to break an infestation i use one type of unit sending waves of 20,000 points once the site changes from Red > Orange bar it equals 10% killed on that site so add up the units killed to reach Orange X 10 and deduct what you sent from that figure this will tell you what you need to send to kill the other 90% using one type of unit though.
•    Nemesis = 190
•    Thunderbolts= 40
•    Plasma Cannons= 20
•    Disintergrators= 15
•    Fighters= 10
•    Battlecruisers= 9
•    Defensive infestations- Because you get to see what is in the site there is a much simpler method you send 10 of the same defensive units what ever it kills you deduct what you killed from the total figure then divide what you killed by the figure you are left with then X 10 that will give you the total figure needed to kill the site.
•    The best way to know how much to invest on an infestation is to find a recent report that someone has posted add together the resources paid out this is the figure needed to win off that infestation i do think there is a range but as long as the figure you find off the report is reached you know you will win. Each time we win if we post in this page we will find out the amounts needed for each level i have started this already but i only have the higher levels look in forums if you need to find out your sites amount if it cannot be found in this page.
•    Non mission sites will pay all resources back where as mission sites only pay part of the invested resources back so i use the mission sites to load the resources then break the non mission i wish to win off once all resources are paid you will be in the minus by 50% of that wins total resources so say if the win equaled 50 million resources your Rbonus (infest bank) will be -25 million you must be in positive to win so going for a site that pays less than 25 million after winning off a site that paid 50 million means you will blank.

Spending nodes
 
•    Based on what we have learnt i would personally use the nodes on;
•    Exterminator or excal
•    Disintergrator or qc
•    Credit Cost
•    Thunderbolts
•    Nemesis
Any units that can be won from the infestations in my opinion are a waste of time reducing the build time accept the ones i listed units that can't be won you may wish to upgrade thats personal preferance i.e i like valks as my infantry and on infestations you rarely ever get a valk payout as you get higher up.

is Elite loads same amount of resources as regular..... considering that actually it costs way less to build the unit

Yeah, elite imperial and A mutants all seem to have the same loading value as regular units.

Elite units to my knowledge are only res value spent on an elite, cry meaning nothing to banking.... a-units and imperial I've never wanted to test because I did not want to waste the units if it turned out it wasn't banking.

I've tested with all elite units and all A mutant units, noticed no difference in payouts from using regular troops.  Haven't tested with all imperial units, but when I have used them I got normal payouts.

Guys..I'm trying to understand how infests work and have the following questions:

1. My infestation level is 16 atm. Based on wiki, I should load almost 350k reso. 350k reso=700 valks. The problem is that if I send 700 valkyries in 1 go, they will break the site and I won't get the maximu payout. Should I send them in small groups then to ensure they die and I've loaded enough troops/reso in the site? And only after I've loaded enough I should sent big army to break the site and (hopefully) enjoy my payout?
2. Do I need to load each site separately or it takes into account the total amount of units (reso) I loaded into sites before finally breaking one of them and receiving my payout?
3, I found in wiki that people use mission sites to load non-mission sites. Does it mean that the units I lose killing mission site increase my 'bank' for the non-mission site I break after the mission?

4. Basically, you won't earn anything from infests because they pay only what you have loaded before. The only reason to hit them is to exchange the units you don't want for the units you want (apart from quest and ranking). Am I right?

5. If I load infestations with the amnts of reso stated in wiki, is there a chance that I won't win any units (and I simply lose the units loaded)?

What units exactly can you and can you not win? (I've never seen any Bioplasma units won, by the way...)

I've only seen Troopers, every S.C.A.R. troop, Nemesis, Light Tanks, Gauss Guns, Plasma Cannons, Quantum Cannons, Disintegrators, Interceptors, Fighters, and Battlecruisers.

If anyone else has seen troops won other than these, a reply would be nice.

Also, if we're doing Infestations for those Global Operations, is it better to:

A) Hit lower level Infestations, lose less of your army at a time, but retrieve less of the item at a time, or

B) Hit higher level Infestations, lose more of your army at a time, but retrieve more of the item at a time?

Yes, I know it varies from 'high' to 'low', but we'll say level 28 for high and level 16 for low.

better to hit higher levels, you get more items that way, and if you do it right you'll win back the troops you lose.

You have to remember that certain units are stronger against different types, so it may take more or less than this depending on what type the infest has and what type you send.
