The assailant "type" appear randomly on the map - although the level of the assailant will be grouped together. Example you won't find a level 1 assailant in the same area of the map as a level 5 assailant.

I have found that I cannot reliably get a material from a (non-assailant) camp, e.g. Wood, or Bronze, even when entirely consuming an original tile, e.g. 1M Lumber camp. Nor has yielding higher (non-assailant) camps reliably delivered better items, e.g. Wood (Simple). 

Are there other reliable and predictable sources for (non-assailant) materials, e.g. Wood, Bronze, be it particular assailants, or more particularly, particular rss type camps of particular assailants? e.g. Lumber camp from a Disciple vs a stone camp from a Disciple? (Or lumber camp from any assailant?)

Hi! The most easy way to find non-assailant's materials is reward of errands.

DOES ANY ONE KNOW IF IT IS ADVANTEGEOUS TO ATTACK THE ALPHAS 

Here you have all assaillants and all gemms - which material you find on which assaillant or alphas

Level 6 and level 5 assaillants are better if you know which specific material you need

Alpha will give you material and gemms that can ONLY be yielded on them(e;g. Varicite, Turquoise, Fluorite)

For Tournaments alpha's level6, level5 points per stamina ratio are equivalent same for Hero experience
