Sorry if old question but I'm just now doing Foreign Studies. I went into Defense and did some studies. My overall power number dropped 4 billion. The studies I did were all in one category of defense... percentage offense during defense increase. Did I do something wrong? Or am I crazy?
Power is based on many things. e.g. If you lost a lot of troops, your power would decrease.
Maybe go into stats (Palace, Stats - 4th tab), then Army / General button - mayhap you'll see the studies you did listed somewhere in there. i.e. Perhaps you can confirm that something ... strange ... hasn't happened.
