k so the easiest way to do it is buy nothing of 9 weeks then buy a shitload then wait another 9 weeks or so

Update / followup ...

It seems that on the day that the 'best gold amounts for contents' appear (cost multiples of $4.99 packs with x the contents but not x the 'gift of gold'), as noted by the sudden availability of inquisitor candle offers of +150 candles [they are <~22 to that point, some 18, some 20, some 22] ...

(It seems that on the day  ...) Corresponding $25.99 offers are present with rather more than x times the $4.99 contents. If you know you're going to need it (stamina, gold, platinum, whatever ...), and would purchase them at the next 4 '9 week' periods, it may be worth your while to purchase these more expensive packs. [Perhaps make sure your last purchase is the least cost one, though.]

Caveat: If this happens on a day where your needed candles, or platinum, isn't on offer, taking advantage of these may not be in your best interest. (Such offers will come around again, and you won't be disadvantaged for not having taken advantage of these offers.) [If you need < 340 Sixtus candles to max him out, and it's not being offered, you probably don't want to wait 18 weeks, instead of 9, to so max him out.)

Summary: If you suddenly see regular offers duplicated at > 4 times contents for $25.99, you have probably hit / crossed a threshold to offers as good as they're going to ever be made available to you. Examine the offers closely, and carefully consider if they make sense for you and you can afford them - such levels will be gone and unavailable to you, tomorrow.

- this does not apply to special sales, e.g. Easter, May Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, New Year's, etc. Those offers occur independently of the above - but the same caveat applies. If the candles you need aren't on offer, don't snooker yourself, as above. Such sales often last at least 3 days - but sometimes only the 1 day. So, if your desired candles will be on offer tomorrow, or the day after, you may well be able to have your cake and eat it too.

YMMV.

I am seeing these today, FWIW. Is anyone else? I have no reason to believe there is any particular sale going on at the moment.

Seems to be 6.25B/$5 rss.

SUPER AND MEGA PACKS GUIDELINE

Here's a summary of the various pack offers. I gathered this info from a previous order member whom we considered the "pack expert".

SUPER PACK

  • A true super pack will be $5 for around 3B of each rss.
  • Super is $100 pack.
  • Super will be 12,000 x 250K of each rss.

MEGA PACK

  • Mega will be $10 for around 6b of each rss.
  • Mega is a $200 pack.
  • Mega will be 24,000 x 250k of each rss.
,

WHICH ONE TO BUY?

  • It's best to wait for mega holiday packs (see holiday pack schedule).  These are mega packs combined with holiday packs.

WHEN ARE THE PACKS OFFERED?

Since your last purchase, each pack will be offered:

  • 93 days for mega offers
  • 62 or so days for super offers

WHAT ELSE SHOULD I BUY WHEN THE PACKS ARE OFFERED?

Once offered wait until rss and silver pack days. You get the best packs all the way around on those days. It'll be a good amount of gold, boosts, and hero energy.

END WITH A $5 PURCHASE

During a purchase, always end with lowest price available ($5), preferably on something you can benefit from. Doing so will keep your offer prices low.

The offers are now gone. Which is to say, the US$20 offers below.

So, 6 days after they first appeared.

The $4.99 150 candle offer is also gone, in favour of a 300 candle $9.99 one.

IIRC, offers degrade after the first (and second and third?) times, so it appears to be more profitable to purchase sooner rather than later.

With buying the packs, you start out with the 4.99, but if you buy a 9.99 pack then you only get the 9.99 and 19.99 offers, then if you buy a 19.99 you will only get 19.99 and 49.99 offers.

If you do not buy a pack I believe for 8 days, the price will drop down one bracket. so if you are have the 19.99/49.99 offers now, after 8 days it should drop to where you have 9.99 and 19.99 offers again. Then same to get to 4.99.

I have been sticking to the 9.99 packs for a really long time now but as far as I know, the system hasn’t changed

this has generally been my experience for this. The holiday packs seem to operate on that principle and the starting price point you will get for holiday offers depends on where you are on this scale. With most packs and holiday packs if you buy the low price there will be another one with similar items for the next price point.. these are sometimes as good a value as the first and sometimes not. You just have to prioritize what you want and need and only buy packs for those items.

some comments above are absolutely true in regards to how many billions of billions you will need.. even the 25b packs are a drop in the bucket when you get to higher levels.

In regards to super and mega packs.. they generally reset after 12-14 weeks so unless you stop purchasing for at least that period of time you will probably never see them.

I am beginning to think think that unless one doesn't keep their pack prices low (last purchase at $25.99, not $4.99), one will never see the {super|mega} packs of $49.99/$99.99/$199.99.

I would appreciate anyone seeing such packs at maxed out point (e.g. > 150 candles if it were $4.99, so x times that number of candles), so we can compare apples to apples. [Offer quantity per $4.99. e.g. $9.99 > 300 candles, for a > 1.0 factor, etc., and factor increasing by pack price point.]

'Theoretically', if one knows they are going to buy that much Silver, or whatever, eventually, there is some argument to be made for purchasing these higher priced packs. Screenshots of such packs would be very much appreciated.

US$19.99 / US$4.99 [CDN$25.99 / CDN$6.49] High Watermarks:

  • My lowest priced offers (i.e. $4.99, lowest offered by Plarium) have just duplicated at $19.99. I have come to believe that this indicates one has hit the threshold of offer contents reaching as 'good' as they will ever get (at this lowest price). 'Good' = greatest amount per $4.99.

  • Candles have just risen from 22 (Adrian) to 170 - my first indicator that I have reached {the threshold of offer contents reaching as 'good' as they will ever get (at this lowest price).}. 'Good' = candles per $4.99.
    [Canute, Darius, Lilian, Marc, Vigo, Wigmar : 18 -> 150, Sixtus : 20 -> 170, Adrian : 22 -> 172.]

  • Demonstrably, (now, never used to be), higher priced offers have > 1 x contents. i.e. $19.99 offers = 4 x price have > 4 x contents. As RSS, Silver, Gold, Boosts, will always be endlessly needed, if you're eventually going to buy 4 of them, you will get more buying 1 $19.99 than 4 $4.99.

[Used to be x contents for x price, but same 'gift of gold'. e.g. 40 candles for $9.99 but still only 640k gold, IIRC.]

  • These are not mega or super packs (costing $49.99, $99.99, $199.99, or something), these are the normal everyday flow of packs. Called different things in different seasons, with diminishing contents, but the ordinary packs none the less - the RSS + Boosts pack, the Silver + Boosts pack, the Gold pack, the Boosts pack, the Platinum pack, etc.

  • RSS & Boosts ('Summer SALE: Resources'): 25B RSS x 4, 194.64w Boosts, 500 Errands x 3
    • [Per $4.99: 6.25B RSS, 48.6w Boosts, 125 Errands]

  • Silver & Boosts ('Summer SALE: Silver'): 59.13B Silver, 417.86w Boosts, 1,000 Errands x 3
    • [Per $6.49: 14.76B Silver, 104.34w Boosts, 250 Errands]

  • Gold ('Summer SALE: Gold'): 36M Gold
    • [Per $6.49: 9M]
    {This is new, used to top out at 32M.}

  • Boosts ('Develop a Town Quickly and Easy'): 1,895.83w (36.46y) Boosts
    • [ [Per $6.49 474.41w (9.1y) Boosts]

  • Platinum: 1M Platinum, 500k Grants, 100k Pearls, 4,771.43 w (91.76y) Boosts, 2k x 3 Errands
    • [Per $6.49: 250k Platinum, 125K, 1,191.48 w (22.91y) Boosts, 500]
    {This is actually the normal level for Platinum, 250k per $4.99.}

'Summer sale' is probably a misnomer / just a package name. (Much like spring {Easter} lasted for many months.) You are probably ok. ...

Seems I am wrong about that. I see no 'Summer SALE' now. Seems it was a sale (limited time offer), after all.

The content level amounts were not unusual, so it was not a mega or super pack. Levels and prices and packs were consistent with these periodic offerings, nothing unusual, and content levels reflected where you are in the purchase cycle. e.g. < ~150 / US$4.99

Sad that Plarium did not say here that the sale packs were indeed sales and limited time offers. Wonder how much revenue they lost as a result.

Today's (4th of July?) Offer(s):

  • including 1,000 candle offers, unusual.
  • Candles are 1k each of {x}, Vigo, Adrian, Sixtus.
  • Some see the 4k x 4 candles for US$19.99, others for US$9.99. Seems 9w purchase cycle has some impact here.

Nah, nothing 'mega' about them - just the normal offer escalation over time.

Everyone will experience the same escalation every 9w or so.

It does seem (now, never used to be [*]), that higher priced packs include a greater x factor of goodies. i.e. If amount of goodies at this point in US$4.99 pack = 1.0, US$9.99 is > 1, US$19.99 more, etc. See https://plarium.com/forum/en/throne-kingdom-at-war/598_general-questions/123846_is-this-a-super-pack--mega-pack-or-special-holiday-offer/?post=628576

 for the numbers.

Even offer sales seem to follow this time escalation. If you bought recently your sale will be less so than if you haven't purchased recently.

'I AM KHAN' notes this at https://plarium.com/forum/en/throne-kingdom-at-war/600_technical-support/91629_super-discount-packs/?post=627196

, and that mega / super is only seen after 12 - 14 weeks.

He also notes, somewhere that I can't find at the moment, that mega/super (still haven't seen anything demonstrating they exist) packs are only seen at prices greater than US19.99.

[*] Use to be pack contents were linear - US9.99 packs had twice the contents as US$4.99, US$19.99 4 x - EXCEPT, each had the same amount of gold, not x time as much. As said above, this seems to have now changed to be greater than linear as pack prices go up.

There seems less point to the cheaper packs over the more expensive ones, now. Even if you buy half as often to spend the same amount, you are getting more in the higher priced packs. Speak up, please, if you observe differently - convoluted to try and keep track of this stuff.

Further crumbs ...

As noted above, 2x 500 Anne candle packs have been spotted in the new Special tab of the Bank window.

Not commenting on the pack, good, bad, or otherwise (I don't know), merely that this is the first time I've seen Anne candles on offer.

[2 x 250 Lilian is also available at the moment, but that's not unheard of.]

It has not been around long enough to get a solid feel for yet, but the new Bank 'window' is intriguing. Gold (4th tab) has been moved from the bottom of Packages, the original 'version' of the window is now the 2nd tab. New are Special (1) and Subscriptions (3). The discord note above speculates that Plarium may be modifying the (Package's) 9 (10?) week cycle. [Unless, unconfirmed, the cycle length is shortened if your last purchase was greater than US$4.99.]

TIDBIT: It seems that when you see the same offer at both US$4.99 and US$19.99, that is your signal that you have hit offers as good as they're going to get. i.e. For 4 x the price the more expensive offers contain the most greater than 4 x contents. (Including the contents of any sale. i.e. If you are at the max, the sale contents will also be - if you just bought, the sale contents will be at their least. Inbetween is ... inbetween.)

I appreciate y'all posting screen shots of your bank offers.  I'm at the point where I need 200,000 plus platinum and 20000 hero crystals to make the next jumps.

.My bank offers are not anywhere as good as what I see here  Tells me just to wait until mine improve.

Yep.

The signal seems to be when the candle offers go from ~22 to > 150. Particularly when you see the offers duplicated between $4.99 and $19.99 versions. The $19.99 versions are much better deals - and only appear that one day. (And sales / specials.)

The best I've seen with that is 2 x 250k Platinum, and (different offer) 20k crystals. [Which only gets you part way from 63 -> 64, where you need 30k crystals. (The first 20k will get you to 63 {'useless'}, then you need 2 more sets of 20k to get over that hump.)

63 gets you to March Headcount I, with not enough to fill Siege or Knight.

To get to Troop Capacity III, or rather, to either side or below it, you need 64, and the above 2 sets of 20k crystals, waiting 9 or 10 weeks between each.
