Does anyone understand the math behind consumption reduction?

Hello all!

I can't seem to understand why with all the buffs I have to consumption reduction, which total 100% reduction I still am in the negative.  I even separated out the % and reduced them from each other and the math still doesn't line up.  Right now I have a reduction of 10% obelisk, 81% spring and 9% league knowledge, however I am still cranking out a nice -2911 total consumption per hour.  I tried to do a search on the forum in case this has already been addressed, however the search function is not working.  Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi, friend.

Math is easy:

  1. For example, you have 20 000 army food consumption.
  2. Obelisk and spring decrease is 81%+10%=91%. 20 000 * 0.09 = 1 800.
  3. Any other decreasing will count further from 1 800. So knoledge decrease 9% is 1 800 * 0.91 = 1 638.
  4. For examample, you have an item -50% food consumption - it will count from 1 800 too. 1 800 * 0.5 = 900.
So obelisk power is not worthless thing as some suggest.
