The Sanctum of Shards and the use of crystals –

It is recommended that you do not do any Battle Grounds without some crystals activated within your Sanctum. There is no right or wrong combination of crystals that must be activated, however, some thought must be given to the fact that once activated you must spend sapphires ($) to obtain a wand to remove them, or sacrifice them to change them out. So instead of suggesting which ones to use, here is a breakdown of the different types and their usage.

 

Green – Veyon’s Speed: Offensive Bestiary Units

This is an increase to your Bestiary units’ power.

 

Maroon (Red) – Dana’s Light: Offensive Occult Units

This is an increase to your Occult units’ power.

 

Blue – Lovar’s Mana: Offensive Cavalry Units

This is an increase to your Cavalry units’ power.

 

Yellow – Bran’s Might: Offensive Infantry Units

This is an increase to your Infantry units’ power.

 

Seafoam – Mara’s Justice: Defensive Bestiary Units

This is an increase to your defensive units’ defensive power against Bestiary units.

 

Purple – Ran”s Mercy: Defensive Occult Units

This is an increase to your defensive units’ defensive power against Occult units.

 

White – Endurance: Defensive Cavalry Units

This is an increase to your defensive units’ defensive power against Cavalry units.

 

Gold – Hilda’s Power: Defensive Infantry Units

This is an increase to your defensive units’ defensive power against Infantry units.

 

Once you start getting raided, you can determine which units others are sending against you and use the appropriate crystal(s) to help defend your castle. As you increase in level and change-up which units you typically send on raids, you can determine which crystal(s) you activate. It is advisable that you have a mixture of active crystals, depending upon your type of build. Aggressive players will want to Offensive crystals with one Defensive, while a defensive player may go all defensive crystals.
