Some faced 3 out of 4 rounds against allies in the first one.

Something to look forward to later this duel?

If Plarium had made a PROPER alliance system, we wouldn't had the issue with allies have to compete vs each other. And it would solved a lot of other issues as well.

Hello.

In this Tournament, the Tiers were created based on the results of the previous one.

The opponents in the Tiers are picked up randomly. If your opponent League is your ally and you have activity "Kill Units of your opponent League", you can ignore this kind of activity and concentrate on other tasks you have to earn points.

why is a major componant of every tournament the option to not do part of the tournament?

shouldnt plarium be doing tournaments that encourage participation?

Its simple don't hit your allies you can get points from BG's (not a favorite of some) and PVP from hitting other leagues

Just because you are matched against an ally doesn't mean you have to fight with them - there is nothing wrong with a little competition between friends

Or do you need a crying towel if your ally beats you at a tournament?

Slightly different Dual Tourney whinge.

Given we know:

- many players have BG tricked and can't do BG's

- that BG's are loss making

- therefore high BG points are just about coiners subsidising losses

Couldn't we removed the BG element and just have it as a PvP event.

It would make for a much more meaningful tournament that really was a test of a league's prowess, not just mindless BG bashing.

Or at least not have the PvE BG points be several multiples more valuable than the PvP points.

or maybe the event was primarily introduced to push people into more loss making BG activity, to lose, then revive troops, rather than actually being based on providing meaningful content?

Hello.

PvE can't be removed from the Tournament as it's a significant part of the game and still this kind of activity is very popular among players.

They are playing BGs even when the Tournament is not running.

But I like watching big coiners do mindless bg bashing.  It's like watching somebody take a big pile of cash in their yard and set it on fire, it's horrifying yet somehow amusing.

What you just said just underline the fact that big coiners basicaly lock out content for others...

"Can't be removed".....

Since when has the construction of tournaments required them to include representation of all elements of gameplay. There isn't a single other tournament in the game that is built like that.

Beacon tourni - a PVP tournament at beacons

Beacon massacre - a PVP tournament at beacons Fortress tourni - a PvP tournament at fortresses

BG Tourni - a PvE tourni at Battlegrounds

Development Tourni - a building/lost art event at your castle

Dragon stone tourni - a skill learning event

I take it I don't need to go on. It is a non logical and irrational argument to say that this tourni must reflect all elements of gameplay. The whole previous history of tourni's is that they focus on a specific element of gameplay. But no, suddenly a new rule is made up about how they should be constructed to include all elements of gamplay. This is clearly utter rubbish.

But lets concede your point for now. So if everything that is a significant part of the game and that is popular has to be included in the tournament, why is raiding not part of it. Clearly there are many part of gameplay that are popular that are not included? So you aren't even consistent with your own argument.

Worse still though, how does this make any sense "they are playing xx when the tournament is not running". All the elements main elements of gameplay are being played when tournaments are not running. By this criteria every tournament would have to include all elements of gameplay because they are all being played when that particular tournament is not running. This is actually a completely senseless point.

What you posted is so baseless, irrational and illogical a defence of your choices. It sounds very much like the decisions have been made for whatever reasons and now you are trying to justify them in anyway you can (but incredibly badly in this case).

You have only reinforced my opinion that the BG element of the tourni (and especially the exaggerated weighting it gets) is there simply to manipulate people into entering into a loss making activity that you hope will pump more money into he game. It's not there to provide a tourni with a meaningful design and objective, to provide interesting and meaningful content that drives the game forward.

Hello.

It's a new type of the Tournaments that is based on the new Swiss Tournament system. It can't be compared with other Tournaments like Beacons or DEV Tournaments. And you can get PvP points for raiding your opponents as well. So, this important part of the gameplay is not completely excluded from the Tournament.

I'm confused then.  If BGs are critical to include, then why not include resources seized from raids (not just troops killed)?  Also, is not building troops a critical part of gameplay?  Shouldn't that be included?  Of course, if we include building troops, then we must naturally include buying troops...

Well if you use the resources from raids to build troops, then use those troops for bgs, you can get points from them indirectly.
