in the recent experience exhibition my league earned a x6 multiplier for rewards earned.
when i claimed my rewards i was only paid out what i earned, it was not paid out x6
ie: i was paid 180 sapphires which with the x6 multiplier should have been 1,080
anyone else had this problem and will i receive the full payout?

There are no bugs related to the rewards multiplier system. Please follow this article to learn more about the multiplier.
If you hadn't been in the league for at least 7 days when the event started you're not considered a full member of the league, so you won't get league bonuses on the event.
