There is a possibility as far as i have experienced that there is only one major reward per reset. Usually if i get a good reward i wait for the reset to try the battleground again.

so if I am understanding correctly you put your rewards into a higher level battle ground but didn't kill them and then killed another to get a reward but then you killed one of the ones you put your troops into.  Generally I would leave the "yellowed" battle grounds and not clear them and keep playing eventually when a huge payout happens that is the time to take them since you will have to put millions back onto the battle grounds before getting another reward.

The idea of putting resources into bgs before clearing them is correct but once you clear them and take the reward you have to replace the value in resources you were rewarded and then additional resources in order to get a decent payout.  Generally speaking if you put 2 million worth of resources into the battle grounds you should expect to get a bit less back but better troops, if you are still learning about battle grounds follow Biohazard's advice and only use lower level troops in battle grounds to gain better ones.

Always remember you will have to pay back the amount in resources before getting more rewards

They are loss making. They are subject to glitches which Plarium will not admit to no matter how much evidence they are provided with. Plarium will not even enter into any conversation to discuss facts and evidence provided to them, even when that evidence is overwhelming.

It is not possible to get any figures for negative banking, so it can be nerfed anytime they like

This is not true. 

There is a might fine BG log on the forums if the mods would stop locking the threads containing it people might learn (including Plarium who need to find out what the bug/glitch is)

We can collect all infromation about Battlegrounds in the very first topic so new players can find this infromation easily.

I think its a matter of personal opinion. However, peoples opinions changes over time. Posted in wrong thread? absolutely.
