So are the new anniversary tourney completely shaft new players or what?

So being a newer player (joined 36 days ago) I was so excited that I may get some rewards won during these new anniversary tourneys...

So what do I see? The new tourney are NOT divided into brackets, so a 1 month old player like myself, as well as thousands of others, have to compete with people who have been building troops for 7 years. What kinda spit in the face to new players is this? Who came up with the idea? Why does it feel like "we only care about seasoned players, new players get off our lawn" type of scenario?

Please pardon the old man's rant, but come on, am I the only one feeling this way right now?

Greetings m'lord!

Those two Grand Tournaments are indeed highly competitive Tournaments. You can always try and seize some rewards in those!
However, if you prefer an easier tournament, perhaps the ordinary ones will be a great option!

The decision is yours, m'lord!

Good luck & enjoy the 7th anniversary!

The decision is Plarium, m'lord!

I wish that players would be categorized by some form of personal ranking. This would help balance out the game in my opinion. If you are a brand new player, i.e, level 10 or lower, you stand no chance at placing in the top 10 of a tournament of this magnitude. If Plarium were to place brackets for example all players with under x amount of castle defense or something similar that really would seperate new players from veterans these tournaments might be more exicitng for fresh players.

I appreciate your unfounded optimism, Sloprano, but I think you missed my point. My point is that Plarium made it IMPOSSIBLE for newer players such as myself (been playing for 36 days, lvl 65, no spending (because I cannot afford to)) to score ANYTHING. You see, Plarium put everyone into same bracket, lvl 82 with lvl 30. This means that newer players are unable to compete at all. Spit in the face, we can look, but we can't have. So what about us? I found out about the game 36 days ago, logged in every day. Where is my opportunity to celebrate? That's my point. Both of these anniversary tournament COMPLETELY exclude newer and/or non-spending players. Hence my statement, Plarium really stuck it to us newer players.

Does it make more sense now?

it makes u wonder about the intelligence of some people  .? these useless tourny,s aimed at the  players who have the money to throw away / or low education...even a half educated money player will realize he would get far more for the dollar by waiting for a 75% off leg discount and buy them ..without losing a single troop .?

Greetings, guys!

This Tournament is for all players, but I agree that low-level players can hardly compete with others.

However, it's a special Tournament, with a special reward. And if you feel that you're not strong enough to participate in it, you can participate in ordinary Tournaments which are running each day.

Moreover, we gave free rewards to all players, and we have started a giveaway for all Forum members.

And it's just the beginning of the month

As to the " low-level players can hardly compete with others" - that is wrong. Us lower level, even higher level but newer players, CANNOT COMPETE AT ALL.

The point of my topic was to ATTEMPT to get someone in Plarium who has any kind of decision-making power to see that lower/newer players have simply been EXCLUDED ALTOGETHER from the celebration tournaments. So in a case where it's the BIG and SUPER event, and a HUGE chunk of players simply can't even score 1 sapphire in it, it is extremely discouraging. I am personally very discouraged, and I believe that there are countless thousands just like me.

The 100 free saps - thanks I guess? Can't buy anything with that, but it's the thought that counts. But when there are mega tourney that does not break people up into brackets based on how long they played - that is simply a bad decision, and a spit in the faces of newer players who are loyal and the reason whay all those spenders still continue to play (because we are out there for them to pillage). And NO AMOUNT of pep talk and "positive" attitude from the ever so optimistic moderators and community managers can make us feel like we matter right now. Action is needed, not words.

PS. My sister's name is Alyona. Beautiful name.

Not only new players but old players who are small-medium or no coiner are determined that these 2 tourneys are to reward big coiners lol

Well, new player who spends a lot can compete though. It's their own monies, whether they're gonna use em to buy food or use them as fuel to warm the house it's their decision.

Just keep those fireballs away from me.

Guys, you have ordinary Tournaments along with the Celebration ones. If you don't want to participate, just enjoy other game features.

Im pritty sure, whoever come out on top, ended up spend more sapphires than what he/she will get in rewards.

Tournaments give you rewards for regular gameplay actions. You don't have to do anything special to be rewarded. Of course, if you want to score higher, you may need to be more active in some areas.

Papa1, you are not wrong, there are many of us who find the Anniversary Tournaments ludicrous. Plarium would have been better off just divvying up sapphire rewards based upon how long a player had been on Stormfall, and just send them as gifts, therefore we all would have been rewarded equally from a point of relativity for longevity (fair) instead of from a standpoint of how much cash we spend (unfair).
