Incoming Speed Bugged

How is it possible for 50 pikemen to travel at 32.2mph and still take 35 minutes to travel 11.06 miles

Please fix the bug with displayed raid speed - it shows approx 3x actual speed

Don't hold me to it, but I am pretty sure that boosts affect the travel speed of the units, I have seen wyverns at up to 300mph

Wyverns can reach that speed just using relics, but yes speed boosts also affect the displayed travel speed.

I can send pikemen to his castle in 36 minutes and 2 seconds @ 6.2 mph WITH NO BOOST

This has got absolutely nothing to do with boosts or relics or crystals or prestige staus or anything else - It is a bug

Please read my posts before answering. All the information you needed was in the original post

What mehnslayer and Biohazard meant was spell of enhancement. Example: Pikeman original speed was 6mph. However by using 1 spell of enhancement (50%) the speed can become 12mph. Using 2 will make the speed 24mph. etc

Each spell of enhancement can only reduce travel time by 25% or 50%

The 50% spell maybe could increase pike speed to 12 mph, but using further spells would increase the speed by less ... but only an idiot would waste boosts on pikes.

But that does NOT explain this bug - travel time remains the same, so no boosts were used. Only the displayed speed is affected - not the journey duration.

This is an old bug which was fixed months ago, but it has been allowed to re-appear

THIS IS A BUG!

When will this be looked into? It is now OVER 3 MONTHS AND NOTHING HAS BEEN FIXED

Same distance, same duration, but different speeds are displayed - this is mathematically impossible.

If you are sending something, the speed won't change even if you boost, but, if you have an incoming attack, you will see that the speed updates everytime it gets boosted.

People that like boosting all the way to a castle, when you're their victim you may see over +1000 mph.

The calculation is just: distance divided by (total time the troops have been traveling + time left).

Ok - so do the calculation for us ...

... but if time and distance are constant then it is impossible for speed to vary

I will say again - this is a bug and has NOTHING to do with boosts

Sorry I forgot to mention, the Spells of Enhancements (25% and 50%), they don't boost the speed, they boost the remaining time, so, in the calculation for speed, as the denominator decreases, the result will increase.

Let's say someone 6 miles away wants to raid me, so sends wraiths as the slowest units (12 mph without any bonus), it will take 30 minutes.

So: 6 miles / 0.5 hours = 12 mph

This player leaves his troops just traveling towards the target for 10 minutes and then decides to use a 50% boost, which makes the remaining time 10 minutes instead of 20.

So: total time = time traveled + time left = 10 minutes + 10 minutes = 20 minutes = (1/3 hour)

6 miles / (1/3 hour) = 18 mph

That's what the calculation does, I don't see any bug. Sorry if too much maths, tell me if you want it a bit more clear.

P/S: I repeat, this altered number you can only find when you can't see the troops that are being sent, which happens in an incoming attack, and makes harder to guess what are the troops that your enemy is using.

Please throw your calculator away and read the question

One pike incoming and one pike outgoing, travelling exactly the same distance and taking approx same time .... just think about it and use logic. It is impossible for the two pikes to be travelling at different speeds.

The speed of all incoming attacks are bugged - it has got absolutely nothing to do with spells - it is not magic, it is a bug

Oh, I just checked the screenshot again, well, your pike was actually travelling at 18.5 miles per hour as it says the one below, that was a bug yes.

But I don't see that happening now in the game, asked somebody to do some tests.

It is possible that this only affects the Untamed Lands server - this does not surprise me as this server has been completely ignored by plarium for months - they can't even add the wheel of fortune without crashing it after 3 minutes
