I also meant to mention that the bug seems to affect the editing of landscape.    When I am moving buildings around and click save, the buildings go back to where they were, like i never moved anything.   This could be part of the same bug.

About the event that is complete, check at the top and make sure you claim free items. 

 Problem is, when I push the save button, nothing actually gets saved. I have to save every move, building by single building or it all gets lost and goes back to where it is.    if i move more than five buildings and push save, it all gets reversed.

First I would recommend clearing your cache and closing the game. It sounds like your Flash is getting overloaded. After clearing your cache close and reload your browser then reload your game. i have encountered this issue when i was raiding once a raid hits the game seems to refresh which affects your editing that once you finish and click save nothing change

my advice is to edit when you have zero other things going on (thats what i do)
