Food Consumption

Is there any way to reduce your food consumption other than with "food consumption reduction" amulets? Sorry for the terminology.

To wit: it seems like your units consume food even in the infirmary, do they "die off" and thence your consumption gets reduced accordingly?

Thanks for your consideration in this matter.

Best regards -

you can darken troops at becons to make them consume less food. There is also different ways to increase farm output with scrolls, dragon, etc.

As Gadheras mentioned there are several ways. In the Obelisk of Power there are two itmes. Dark Essence improvement and food reduction. If your league can win the Beacon Conquest you get Lovar's Blessing. This reduces food consumption by 15% with no time limit. Also, the Dragon Stone has Food Production boost. Lastly, you can upgrade your farmsusing sketches to get past level 20 production.

The last way of course is reduce the size of your army. The battlegrounds seem to do that well. Normally you pay the bank with low level troops and you get paid back with higher level troops. This gives you fewer stronger troops and less food consumption.

Thanks.

It seems that the number of units residing in the Infirmary may have something to do with the food consumption as well according to my rough accounting of units there & their food consumption. I just don't see any units cycling out of the Infirmary even though there are messages to the effect that some fallen units will disappear in some amount of time.

It also appears that if I revive a fallen unit, the food consumption goes up appropriately, which seems to be penalizing the player.

Any thoughts?

Regards,

BigAl

The only units in the Infirmary that effect your food consumption is those that are revived. All others should notaffect food consumptionas the are dead. Once revived they should move to your catacombs or castle. Check you garrisons for excessive troops somewhere other than Beacons and Fortress.

Hello, Is there any way to find out just the food consumption rate, that is actual and up-to-date, not historical, covering all who consume it?  Thank you !
