Bonuses gained cannot be felt during gameplay

I used to be an active Soldiers Inc player, after stopping for quite a long while, I went back to Plarium game and this time Stormfall.

I noticed two major new features here:

  1. Hero's equipment bonuses
  2. Dragon Art's bonuses

Despite completing lots of upgrade for the above, such bonuses don't seem to be mentally felt and visually seen -- perhaps not so significant, even with the 27% increment of infantry offensive power. Activated dragon arts, 3 slots concurrently, but none of them can be felt during gameplay. I was wondering about two possibilities here:

  1. Have the bonuses been calculated correctly by the devs and truly applied to player's activities when activated?
  2. Or they're still so insignificant for the players to feel their effects -- Is there a way to visually improve it so that those bonuses can be appreciated by the players?

In Stormfall, so many new features available that add bonuses, mostly stackable, but why we can't feel anything "powerful"? Still the same death number for infantry while in battleground. I'm not sure if those bonuses even worth upgrading.

So my suggestion here is: Is there a way to improve the visual effects of such bonuses when they're in action? Or the dev should really look into the effectiveness of such bonuses? Let me know if I have overlooked anything, thanks.

EDIT #1: Example for Visually Seen Construction Speed Bonus

At the Farm Info Page, show something like this:

Upgrade Time: 1 hour

Lost Art Bonus: (None)

Dragon Art Bonus: +7%

Obelisk Bonus: (None)

Actual Upgrade Time: 55m 8s

So basically, try to provide a consolidated overview of all related bonuses to every single unit / building / mission:

For example, on every military unit's info page:

  • Lost Art Bonus (+?%, +value)
  • Dragon Art Bonus (+?%, +value)
  • Obelisk Bonus (+?%, +value)
  • Hero Equipment Bonus (+?%, +value)
  • Temple of War Bonus (+?%, +value)
  • Sanctum of Shards Bonus (+?%, +value)

  • Total Defense Bonus:  (+value)
  • Total Offense Bonus:  (+value)

The same goes to construction speed, production speed, training speedmovement speed and so on, whichever screen that involved and can be enhanced with such information.

Another best way to graphically express the RESULT of such bonuses is to use the BEFORE and AFTER bar, something like the speed booster bar for the travelling troops, that would significantly improve the visibility and transparency of the game. Then people will have a better idea where their gaming efforts go and what are they doing on the game -- time worth spent.

Helping on Bonuses Discovery

The above idea also helps on related bonuses discovery by placing a link on each bonus name that leads the player to particular upgrade page, e.g. Obelisk. When I see my Sanctum of Shards bonus is 0%, that should remind me to activate it, combine the crystals etc. by simply click on the link -- that should be great.

Unfortunately, we are not planning to add more information on Bonuses or show the exact calculations. You need to discover all formulas by yourself.

I can ensure you that all Bonuses are applied correctly.

Then how do you plan to improve the transparency of the game? How do we know if you have applied or accidentally not applied the bonuses to the players' activities?

You doubt Alyona's words?

You need to explore it in the game, test it, and figure out how it works

So calcuate, how much dmg a unit does with applied lost arts, then make the math and apply each bonus from any relic, dragon bonus, and so forth. and if the end number doesnt add up, then Plarium is a rotten egg?

Could it Be that the bonuses are non-existant and just a ploy to make people think they are improving the strength of their units? That's my guess because as it's stated when doing BGs and other attacks there is no discernible difference in the result as far as the amount of units killed on either side of the aisle mine or Bultar's  It's a sham that's why they will not be giving any more information about it !!!!!!

This is exactly what many are thinking when the bonuses added have not been transparent enough. If you total up all your bonuses gained (not multiplied but add up to the base value), it may look fantastic, but when you tested it on BG, you have no feel on that power at all -- still the same losses. Could it be that. while the bonuses have been added, they added more power to BG enemies as well? LOL.... If this is the case, then might as well don't give us with those bonuses! :D

The bonuses are additive to the base value of the troops not cumulative/compounding on top of each other.

They are not:

base value * (1+ bonus 1) * (1+ bonus 2) * (1+ bonus 3)  i.e. cumulative/compounding

They are:

base value + (base value * bonus 1) + (base value * bonus 2) + (base value * bonus 3) i.e. the same as adding the bonus %'s up and then multiplying into the base value / addative

This one I know. :)

So then explain to me why my building bonus on defense units that you do show says 10% when I have my 5 oil derricks at level 25? You say I get a +2% defense bonus x 5 oil derricks for level 24 and a 2% x5 for level 25 = 20% your math skills are not worthy of me spending any more money on this game. It's a fun game to play until you feel cheated, ripped off.
