welcome to Stormfall. So, the more walls you got, the bigger defence bonus you get to your defending units. Without walls there is no real point in defending tbh. DEF is much weaker than OFF by default.
Once you build your first tier of a complete walls. you can spend more sapphires to upgrade them to the next 3 tiers....

I recommend waiting to build walls until you have researched tier 5. You get wall discounts sometimes, but they do not apply to upgrading your walls, only placing new ones.

unless u have deep pockets i would wait till u have discovered lvl 4 walls min ..as Gadheras mentioned to defend castle u need walls ..without them your losses will be greatly increased .

Walls are, also, permanent protection. After investing sapphires in building of walls their is nothing you should do there anymore. So, once created walls will contribute to your protection forewer.When you can catacomb your units and spend your resources there is no ned to defend yourself tbh.My Lords,

this is good advice for stormfall 1 or 2 years ago.
i say dont bother with walls. no one defends anymore. as long as you have catacombs, walls are unimportant.
Totally agree. Moreover, low-level players with less Units will get less benefits from Walls than high-levels. And there are many other things to spend Sapphires on. Craftsmen for example.
