FIX THE EMBASSY PROBLEM

Reproduce the bug this way


- as a league marshal or anyone in the league that has the rights to view the offense and defense statistics open embassy on league statistics tab


- do nothing or list trough pages


- after a short time embassy refreshes and goes to league info tab




This is very annoying and makes it almost impossible to use embassy

Also fix the captcha/CSRF-token/session timeout on this form it is too short

Yes, it's a known issue. Our game syncs data between server and client from time to time. In such moments your scroll or tabs may go back to default. Our devs are working on the fix, but it will take some time.

Hmm.....


So to fix something they broke themselves is going to take some time.


Have they ever heard of the concept of a staging or test server?

Have they ever heard of version control? (git, svn, ....)

Have they ever heard of testing the changes before releasing them?


Or do they operate "we made a huge change to the software that could impact other functionality.... heck let's put it live and see what happens"


THE PROBLEM IS I WOULD BELIEVE THAT SOMETHING WILL BE DONE IF THEY HAVE FIXED BUGS THAT ARE IN THE GAME FOR MONTHS NOW.


Let me give some examples


1. If you send attacks (siege/raid) and at the same time an attack at a hamlet the boxes reporting the unit tracking in the left bottom corner flicker every second

2. League attack power is not showing right numbers

3. A lot of times you have to refresh the entire game to see new messages in the mailbox... also valid for reports

......


Now being a developer for more than 20 years it seems to me that something is not right in the development team.....

On the other hand it could be that the project managers have either too little exp to manage this project or they push the dev team to an extreme...

Also both could be true

Some bugs require more time to be fixed, Zapelo. 

As for the Embassy issue, I saw a report from our Support Team that when you edit some player, your Embassy opens at the Info tab. Maybe you had the same issue?

Of course a bug you created will take time to fix. Just like the letter system failure. Every time you introduce something new you break two other things. Unbelievable.

Why you're so pessimistic? We want to make this game better, and we do it better with each update. You can't even imagine how many bugs are getting fixed each time. It's all behind scenes...

Yes annoying is the word but I could you some harsher ones, I was going through our league stats today and it took me 3 times longer to do what needed to be done

Yes, you're right. It sounds annoying. Maybe you could give some specific information on how to reproduce it (like what actions make it refresh? Building Units, upgrading something, raids return, etc)?

Hi,

No actions are taking place as far as i am aware off. Just open the embassy, look at your members and do nothing for a few seconds and it jumps back to startpage... It is the same when looking at diplomacy. When i remove old invites it goes like this : remove invite go back to startpage, remove invite go back to startpage....   

What i also have when looking at invites : i can only see one page, i have to delete one before i can see the other pages

NIX said all that make it happen but something to add is that every time that you change someones rank it gets back to the start page every time a rank gets changed it gets back to the start page.

Its because we see what affects us such as the annoying bugs that refresh pages when we're trying to read, the message counter that says we have new messages when we don't (and sometimes doesn't tell us we have new messages til we refresh), the numerous glitches than can cause troops to vanish or the game to freeze.  When the same problems persist, patch after patch, while more things to spend on constantly get added, is it any wonder players begin to feel that the devs care more about $ than having a working, playable game?

I understand how you're feeling. And I really hope that our devs will manage to fix those bugs as soon as possible so you could enjoy our game and play without glitches.
