Sieges

It's about time Plarium made sieges mean something. When a castle is under siege it shouldn't be able to raid, Fire Ball, build troops, or anything really until they break out or someone breaks them out. A good example is a league that does multiple raids on your Beacon or fortress. The league retaliates by sieging the guilty party. It does nothing to discourage the action. The raids and fire balls continue like nothing happened. Make a siege mean something, it would change the game as much as anything that's been done recently.

Imagine someone sieging you then sending 20m def reinforcements. You don't have enough off to break it by yourself nor you want to do it because of massive loses for you if your not hardcore coiner. That means some players would quit this game unless they are in a strong league who can help him break the siege. No support for this, it will destroy weaker, non coiner, low level players game. Its a war game, but it doesn't mean you have to be forced to lose ur whole army for nothing.

A player is not going to tie up 20 mil for an extended period of time for no reason. Make a player aware of why he or she is being sieged in the first place.

No sensible player would hold a siege with 20 million offense for an extended period of time, if this happens then there are other things you can do to "persuade" him/her to lift the siege.

I can understand where you're coming from, but I think it would be a bad idea.  Currently, it is impossible to perma stomp a player.  Every power house on the server can raid you daily, siege you, fireball you, and you can still play.  You can lose all your troops and still rebuild; it takes a long time, but can still be done.  If you were not able to play the game when sieged, then you'd be up a creek if a powerful player decided to force you to quit.  You could log in, but couldn't play, and with some of the major coiners, it would take a major offensive hammer to break that siege if they really wanted to keep you from playing.  How many leagues have access to a major hammer?

Currently, such extended sieges are uncommon.  If sieges "meant something", there is a strong chance that certain strong players would get a real power trip out of forcing players to quit by putting up sieges the victim cannot break, preventing them from playing the game until either they quit or find some very strong friends to come break it.

That works only if the person cares about the losses.  It would take a lot of sapphires worth of fireballs to nuke that much defense.  If they were just doing it for the PvP, the fireballs would likely drive them off since the points for being fireballed are very poor.  If sieges "meant something" and the intent was to force that person to quit, then a storm of fireballs might not be enough to make them leave.
