Stormfall : Age of War: Discussion on MAP Features

HI,

It looks good to see where is my castle or my allies or a near by fortress or a Beacon. (Globe Button)

Few things i am not able to understand.

Point 1:

A Color Patch is spreading over the map indicating that area belong to a particular League. I could not understand, what parameters or activity from an individual or a league that creates the color patch.

Interesting... also in one of the other post i read that, beacon drop rates are decided by rule engine .i'm ok with that concept if the drop rate is 3 months once or four moths once.

With regards to this post , i understand that , this Patch spreads based on the league reinforcement in a Beacon.

Is there a way to indicate an individual players influence some how over the map ?

I have a Suggestion, lets say, if a player has sieged 1000 Castles. can that be indicated or that castle can be indicated in a color?some thing like a red dot on the map for seiged? Green dot means not seiged?

My Lords,

since there are millions Stormfall players map would look like a carpet if Plarium indicates players influence area.

My Lord,

I Agree ...it will not look good.....May be an intermediate layer like ..in between globe button (100000 Ft view) and the Magnifying Glass option (1000 Feet View)..

Option which can give a private view only to that player what he has sieged in that area.... if he has not sieged a castle in that area then castle can look grayed.. an enemy castle may looks in red ,,allies looks like in green....

Magnifying glass option view is already giving us a bird's eye view but the the idea here is to have Eagle's eye view (which can zoom in or zoom out between 10000 to 100000 Ft View) or a fixed range....

I'm Sure it will give a pleasure like as if your are an eagle trying to attack a rabbit :)

I like your comparison. I think your idea of an intermediate view would have benefits with or without color.

My Lords,

if my opinion counts here is my vote for intermediate map view, too.

Idea here is how hungry i'm for that day....hunt as many rabbits as possible on a given day or just glance over my won battle ground with all my beloved sieged castles under my view... if  the the castles get highlighted in different color then i t is a plus....

It'd be great if there was an intermediate step on the map, midway between closeup view of your castle and a handful of others, and the global view with no detail at all.  Being able to see a larger local map would make raiding a lot easier by reducing the amount of scrolling you have to do.

There is already a way to see who has what influence as far as an individual's control of territory - it's called the Siege Ranking. The higher you are on the list, the more castles you have under your control.

They have this option on Total Domination. Its a 10x zoom and it is very useful imo for finding new raid sights after moving your castle around.
