When I send units on a raid they never come back with the carrying capacity that is shown even though the castle has that capacity in gold, iron and food. Is the carrying capacity shown for food only and is the capacity less for iron and gold?

The game allows you to get a maximum of 50K resources per week in a castle (there are tricks to get more than that tho ) . That 50k that you will get from the castle will be separated in gold, iron and food. You will get more of what the castle that you are raiding has more available. For example if you are raiding a castle that has 200k of food 150k iron and 100k gold you will get more food then the other 2 types. If the resources are nearly the same you get the same amount of resources (around 16+k on each) .

And you can not "empty" a castle,, catacomb levels help keep resources in the castle.

There is a 5% spoilage when raiding that you need to account for. In the upper left of raid reports is a percentage; if you see 95% then you are maxed out on resources you can hold and should have sent more

Does someone know the exact formula that gives the amount of resources taken in a given castle?

My impression is that if I raid a 68k/68k/68k castle, there should be 50k of each not protected by catacombs, hence 150k  total, and it should be easy to get a 50k raid (or 100k with preloading). But this does not happens and I feel like one typically needs over 250k in a castle to be sure to get 50k/100k raids. Does anyone know how this works?

Lord ALBERT,

there is efficient way to get more resources from castles with max resources. You can estimate its max resources inside when your spies discover that inside the castle is equal amount of gold and iron. Successful ride is in three steps, as follows:

1. send to that castle max res in food, e.g. 32000

2. raid that castle with offense troops off at least tripled caring capacity, e.g. 96000

3. when your troops are 40 secs away from castle send less than 17999 food again (at least 30 seconds). When your troops raid that castle cancel caravans to avoid unnecessary loosing of resources in food.

This way of riding can get you up to 82000 in resources.

Signore ALBERT,

1 ok

2 105k at least

3 20sec and 18.000

total raid 100k

best solution is

1 18k

2 105k at least

3 20sec and 32k

you gain more ore and iron vs food

From one castle, per week, you can take 50K resources, and you can send 50K resources, rising first 50K for that amount. SO max is 100K per week.

If your max capacity of caravans is x

preload 50-x into target

20-25 secs before your raid will come send fake caravans with they max amount of resources, and nearly after you rid traget, cancel fake caravans.

Your raiding troops should have  capacity of 105K. Efectively you will get 100K - preloaded amount, but your raid will show 100K.

Less preloading = more getting.

@Nemanja: 17999? Why not 18000?
