You are supposed to LEARN how BG's work. Game mechanics are supposed to be hidden providing you the challenge of working them out.
I fully agree with that and this is how it meant to be. The Battlegrounds is one of the toughest aspects of the game and figuring them out is a real challenge. Even the calculator posted here isn't perfect. There are many materials available online about how one should interact with Battlegrounds and they are all part of the game. Players who created them enjoyed creating them and this is what matters. If the information was easily available, they wouldn't have the pleasure of sharing something they believe to be valuable information with others.
I'm sure many of you will be happy to hear that this will be my last post. My room mate & I will be deleting both of our accounts. We regret doing this & have enjoyed playing the game. But, I feel compelled to make 1 final point before I go. (You didn't think Id go without speaking my piece, did you?)
I just don't get it?? What am I missing?? It seems like a no-brainer to me. First off, who on earth, in their right mind & with real life responsibilities, ENJOYS spending days upon weeks developing a calculator for a GAME??? A calculator, which in the end, only serves to drag out the process of completeing the daily list of BG's into an all day event. No, with this kind of resistance over something that, to me at least, seems so basic & obvious, tells me that there must be a much deeper, unspoken reason for not wanting to make the game less time consuming & attract more players. But what is the real reason??
I don't believe it is the cost of implimentation. The mechanics are already in place. The only thing needed is to provide it to the player. Could it be, as I have previously read, that a BG Bank Statement would reveal how badly skewed BG's are for the big money player? I have personally noticed how badly the entire game is skewed towards the big money spenders.
Don't get me wrong, I understand you must be profitable to maintain this service & you should be rewarded for providing it. Early on in the game, I spent $20 for, what I felt, was the prvillage to play the game. I was even considering spending more because I did like the game. But, I have to ask myself, is it a better business model to appeal to the few big money players as opposed to the masses who will spend, say, $20 - $60?? Maybe it is. Attracting only a few big money players may mean you have fewer & smaller servers to maintain, thereby increasing your overall profits. Just remember, that if you don't grow by attracting new players, as oppossed to repelling them, you run the risk of dying.
This is only a game, after all. The majority of people who play these games do so for an hour or 2 of fun & relaxation, in a fair environment, without having to spend an enormous amount of money. Don't believe me? Just take a look around the map at the number of abandoned castles, deleted accounts & vacant lots. Well, as soon as we tie up a few loose ends with our leagus, you can add 2 more accounts to that number, as we can finally see, this is not the game for us.
Have fun & good luck.

Obviously, you don't understand the mindset of a programmer. If I didn't enjoy making things like this, I wouldn't have done it. I, like many programmers, enjoy problem solving, research, and the satisfaction of making something complicated less so by the process of automation. Besides, programming something that is complicated puts me in that "zone" and is very peaceful for me. I could have programmed ANYTHING to achieve that inner peace, but I like Stormfall, I was bored and saw a problem that needed automation to make my own life easier. That's really all it takes to launch any programmer on a months-long quest.
Well put, Lord DJMoody. Stormfall may seem casual and can attract casual players, but it's actually a hardcore and challenging game that requires dedication and effort. We at Plarium truly admire our top players and leagues for their persistence and loyalty to Stormfall. The amount of work some Stormfallers put into the game in incredible.

Everything is real life. And more people than you think, my Lord. And we are happy to provide them with the opportunity to utilize their problem solving abilities, while playing the game and having fun with their league mates.
You definitely do not want to download to your local machine and load it in excel as the scripts will not work nor will many of the formulae. The spreadsheet is only usable on Google Drive. To do so, simply copy it to your own google drive (via drag drop, ctrl-c/ctrl-v, or however you normally copy files) and open up your copy. It should ask you if you want to authorize scripts - just answer yes and you should be good to go.
Please note that there is a new version (4.0) of the spreadsheet now at
Changes for version 4.0 include:
