BUGFIX UPDATE

Lords and Ladies of Stormfall! 

The mages and sorcerers at Plarium have been hard at work these past few days eradicating bugs from Stormfall. They have made the following improvements:

1) If you have more than 9,999 units in your Keep, the number is shown in full, without the use of the letter "K" to designate thousands.

2) Bonuses applied to your units would be displayed in the Catacombs.

3) When sending several Units of the same type to a Raid or a Siege, their number, speed, and characteristics will now be displayed.

4) Units’ travel time to a Beacon is now displayed correctly in the 'Send Units' window.

5) Units are now highlighted correctly in the Keep.

6) When taking a screenshot of a Battle Report, you will now have the option not to display your Units.

7) Unit selection in the "Send Units" window shall no longer be reset upon the arrival to your Castle of other Units.

8) Supporting Units now interact correctly with their Legendary Units.

IMPORTANT! Use the "My" filter to display the bonuses of your Units in the Castle when checking the "Castle" tab in your Keep.

May I ask what they have been doing for the rest of the time, if this is all they have addressed in the 'last few days'? Playing X-Box?, on leave? whittling a rocking horse from wood...?

 

I have to be honest, given the amount of 'bugs', it seems a pretty menial amount of work for the last several months.

My Lord, it's not that easy as some of you can think. This process takes a lot of time. Our engineers should be 100% sure that by fixing these bugs, the system won't accidentally create new problems.

In first barrack, if I select "10 archers" and I have enough resources for 20+ archers, then after I click "purchase" - the number of selected archers reset back to 1 (one archer).

This was different before - the number of selected archers will stay at 10 archers if I have enough resources OR if I have resources for 5 archers only - it will show "5".

Probably not big deal, not really a bug, just a small change BUT it affects my/our old/current habits of purchasing units.

Good job I know how 'easy' it is, and what a release consists of or the cycles of testing required when bug fixing code....

Personally, I would have expected more to be done, especially given this is probably the first major bug release that's been announced.

 

Disappointing.

Dear Lord Oberon,

 

 

On fixed bug number 7, I want to especially thank you. Seeing as that when Time is of the essence, it is highly annoying to have to choose all your units again when you want to send at a raid or Beacon. 

Thank you for hearing us and doing what you can. I know time on peoples hands can vary and objectives can be delayed, but thank you for all your hard work, and making us happy.

Is this in any way related why I cannot get into the game anymore?

This morning I could log in, but lots of images were not loaded, e.g.: food (pigs) and iron (scrapped weapons) tributes around the castle for example stayed as a blue placeholder square and were unclickable, while the gold tributes (goblins) worked normally.

Clearing my cache and restarting made it impossible to open the game: http://plarium.com/en/games/stormfall-age-of-war/game/ sits there forever (at least 30min) with the lady warrior image and the progress animation....

Also, almost all images on the profile and forum page timeout are broken (copy/pasting their urls and attempting to load one in a new tab shows a time-out error by the browser)

My Lord, the main reason of the lack of data delivered to your computer was an emergency maintenance on the CDN (content delivery network) side. Because of this outage and the connectivity issues some interface parts and data related to the game progress may have not reached the end-user side.

I am truly sorry you had to experience such kind of issue. I do also hope for your kind understanding and patience in regards to the issue occurred.

This issue should be solved soon.

All games Ive tried appear to suffer from the same issue (Stormfall, Sparta, Pirates, and Total Doiminaton). Any idea whats up?

will we lose our progress with the log on bonuses? some of us are up there almost to day 90 and would really be upset to lose all that time and bonuses that go along with it.

nothing works now. all flash elements crashed.

 

what do you do please? is there no external test system and you work on the live server?

 

homepage dont work. forum dont work login dont work.

 

but the best i have seen now, the knowledgebase. there is mixed german with russian element ... what the fuck?

 

please give a reward of 1million saphires to every player and fix the game ...

 

critical fights are lost and i cant put back my army to the catacombs ...

My Lords! I am glad to notify you that the origin of the issue has been located and fully rectified. Still, it may take from a couple of hours to 24-48 hours for the changes to come into effect for your side depending on the DNS cache refresh rate of your Internet service provider.

Oberon, what happens in those 48 hours it may take?, what about lost troops, paragon points, daily rewards, lost guild quest reward chests, etc?.

Those who miss out because they need to wait up to 48 hours will be left out to dry?.

Your explanantion when read between the lines tells a lot to IT Savy users such as myself. I wont comment on it.

So what happens to those who may end up needing to wait for that long?. How soon can we expect to be refunded/reinbursed on game "items"?. What happens if you loose a profitable siege-farm? will that too be returned to us?.

Right now Ive lost a whole day, possibly will loose another one. Im curious as to how you will address those issues, because they are serious enough to make someone quit the game.

I am In California U.S and I cannot get into the game at all from one laptop in our household and can get in on another but the images are all gone as well as the entire world map. I am stuck and cannot do anything. I cannot even send away any res accumulating or spend it.  This is not good.
