New Tournaments Have Arrived!

Check out the PvP and Battleground Championships NOW!

My Lords and Ladies,

These two Tournaments run for 48 hours and are divided into five Heats, including a final. Though all five Heats are open to Lords and Ladies of all skill levels, each is more difficult than the last. The more difficult the Heat, the more Rewards you shall be able to receive! And with the ability to compete in up to three Heats at a time, your chances of getting Rewards have never been better!

The PvP Championship puts you up against Lords and Ladies from across Stormfall! It matters little whether you choose to target old enemies or new opponents - the more rival Units you destroy, the more Points you shall get, and the bigger your Rewards shall be!

The Battleground Championship requires you to locate and successfully attack or defend Battlegrounds. The rules are simple - the more of the enemy you destroy, the more Tournament Points you shall receive!

This is no leisurely walk in the park, my Lord. A storm is brewing! Time to put your courage to the test!

Lord Oberon

Heir of Veyon, Scion of the Firstborn, Lord Regent of Stormfall

yes another useless tourny..only part even partially worth while in the whole game  definitely has the most game play and involvement is removed .pvp .

Instead palarium decides to put a worthless tourny up that is proven u cannot gain from ..even Palarium admits at best 90% return ..and  thats not every bg. With most the loss is higher ..so why should players even bother ? palrium constant greed will drive people away from this game ..or is that the plan .?

yet u have heard that from the majority of players and still have the earplugs inserted .and continue with pointless additives .this game was much better 12 months ago ..every change since has caused the game to go down on servers for hours on end ..palariums answer ..we,ll give u all 10k food gold / iron .. something we all get in 5 mins on a bad raid .?

The dev's don't even know how to run a heat tournament, gaining points in multiple heats at the same time is running multiple tournaments not heats.

Getting points on multiple tourneys=more rewards for the same points. Why are you complaining?

Exactly. This is actually a good thing. No need to pick on Plarium when they're doing something nice for us, they'll get confused.

True... you can make pts from multiple heats....

now, look at how much pts is needed in each, now look at possible reward. Compare reward vs loss's you take to make the pts... Now, look at the time it take to replenish loss's....

sorry Plarium, army stays at home. Unless Im lucky and find some fool with his OFF in the open -)

One day maybe there is some tournament that value my time and effort and not just encourage towards spend sapphires.

In a heat tourney your points from a previous heat carry over to the next heat, this is a progressive tourney and is skewed because you don't have to compete in the first 4 heats to win the top prize.

level one the chance of winning anything is god awful.

level two the chance of winning anything is less than the chance of being struck by lightning.

level three the chance of winning anything is less than the chance to win a lottery.

level four the chance of winning anything is less than the chance of winning the mega millions lottery.

level five the chance of winning anything is less than the chance of winning the power ball and the mega millions lotteries.

level final the chance of winning anything is ... like winning the mega millions and the power ball lotteries on the same day. (they never have a drawing on the same day)

your chances of getting Rewards have never been better! worse!

*********

The best players will get multiple times awards but in total that wouldn't be so big reward.

At same time all the others will get almost nothing or very small award for potentially big investment.

Small players had some chance to earn some good in 3-4 days. With 8 hours tournament they have chance as drop of water in desert.

Ofc, I have no obligation to participate, and I will not. Only problem is for whom is tournament targeted.

Lord Oberon, I liked this heats tournaments. Just, I won all prizes at heat 1 and heat 2 with one shot (so they are too easy), and I can barely win second prizes on heat 3 (so that heat is too hard for me). So maybe next time you can do something about that.  Oh, and I like that you put league exp tournament. That was good idea.

This event feels more of fund for the owner to make money. This not a gambling site, i feel like plarium need a gambling license for this game.

For the time spent on this if u dont spend x amount of money. I feel plarium needs to pay people just to play it. Dont know how you keep people playing this anymore.

Heat 1,2 and 3 small prizes not worth chasing rank there after cause you gain a profit

Heat 4 and 5 waste of time cause troops rewards are to far apart

lets be honest here this was an overall bad idea and waste of time in my opinion <<<<< feel free to disagree lol

Some of you may like the Tournaments and rewards, and some may not. But I hope that you like the idea in general. We tried to create something interesting and unusual for you

Well, quite a lot of us like rewards, and thats why a lot of us doesn't participate I guess. rewards assume, you stand to gain more than you lose. If tournaments was spaced out in relation to how fast we could rebuild troops, we would have tournaments maybe once every 3 month. Not stacked on top of each other all the time.

Players doesn't complain just for the sake of complain (well some does), but for a reason. I resigned to the fact the players of stormfall like drones with little saying in a game many of us got some affection towards.

Since my bgs are low level, making a profit with their corresponding tourney isn't hard. Also, everyone can make a profit using the PvP tourneys if done correctly.

Sure :) create something interesting & unusual that actually rewards the player for participating in the tournament not the opposite :)

They are all cool updates until we figure it its all a ruse for players to spend more money with less gain

Decent idea...bad execution....quite meager rewards and most of the latter  rewards are simply unobtainable for a lot of players.

Would be nice to have something that mid levels players can succeed in and obtain some meaningful rewards for their effort.

Thank you for the feedback.

As a reminder, Tournaments are not the main reason to Raid Castles, BGs, gain XP, etc. They are running on a background and give you some extra Items, Units or Sapphires for doing everyday activities. They were not designed to be the main source of Units.

As for the "unobtainable rewards", I will pass it to devs. Indeed, some of the Tournaments were designed to be a challenge for the medium player. You know well that there are some players who can complete the Tournament by a single hit. And there are those who can't reach even the smallest reward. It's been that way for all Tournaments. It's a challenge which you need to be prepared to.

Thing is if you do your best and is left with nothing, its not very appealing to do it again later. Lets say by default if you take part in a tournament wether you win or lose, if you got at least 80% of your invested resources back in one form or the other, its not a total loss and you could get encouraged to try it again later. If you a smaller guy and commit all your stuff and left with nothing, you probably more prone to quit the game.

Its not hardcore tactics or strategy if by the end of the day your choice is either pull out your cc to rev units, or spend the next weeks (months) rebuild units. I said it before, time is the most valuable asset the players got. When things take to long, it just get boring.
