I don't normally complain or comment on Plarium's game decisions but in this case I believe Luftwulf is absolutely right and I for one totally agree with him/her!

If out of hundreds of thousands of players only just 250 get some reward, that is not much of an anniversary celebration.. SHAME!!

I would like to give you more details about our Anniversary Tournaments. From the start you were notified that there's no personal reward in those Tournaments. One can receive a reward only for placing in TOP 250. So only 250 players were supposed to get a reward, and you could see this information in each Tournament description and in our News.

Now let's look deeper into this issue.

While you had Grand Anniversary Tournaments, you also had small usual Tournaments which were launched each day according to our schedule. You could participate in them and receive rewards in each one of them.

I'm pretty sure that you've earned most of your points during those regular Tournaments and received your rewards for them.

In PvP fights, you received Experience points, and you had fun with other players. PvP is a vital part of this game, and all players are involved into it.

In PvE fights, you received Experience points for your lost Units, payouts (or accumulated points), Items, etc.

So you did actually receive a reward for your actions. Meanwhile you received points in Grand Tournaments. They were not the only thing you got from PvE and PvP actions which you were involved in.

Moreover, during the celebration we have offered you free gifts in the game, and multiple giveaways in communities. I hope you had a lot of fun during the past two weeks, and you'll enjoy our further celebrations as well.

I must admit I didn't know that only the top 250 will get a reward, that's just my bad and my unit loss.

The point though still stands: an anniversary tournament as a celebration (yes, we did get some gifts, thank you!) should have been handled and implemented much better than that IMHO.

Classic defense of overselling & misrepresentation. BIG SHINNY SPLASHY EVENT TRACKER!!!!!.....fine print. Most veteran Archons didn't bother to read the fine print, but lets be honest...you counted on that. As for your Anniversary "gift basket", this is sort of expected when holding any event...I get a free shampoo sample and a couple useless, throw away trinkets when going to the car show. A couple boosts don't qualify as a "celebration" of anything of note. Having fun with other players is a reward we give to ourselves by simply playing the game, it's not a reward you give to us. As for "multiple tournaments"...give me a break, this is nothing new and NOTHING special. You have multiple tournaments all the time. There is a multiple events are on RIGHT NOW (PvP/PvE/XP)...immediately following the event! People bank on multi tournaments to maximize their returns. Tournaments drive the game! Without them, you would be done. You also conveniently omit the fact that you held NO coalition missions during this event as well! Was that an 'anniversary reward' as well?...

The simple fact is that you had an Anniversary event. You misrepresented it. You over sold it. You gave 250 players rewards out of what...25,000 players rewards?...The rest got nothing. This is what we got for dedicating our time and resources to your 'special' anniversary event, PERIOD. Please don't blow off your paying customers. Your selling a service, not drugs. It's just one more example of how little self entitled Plarium understands business or respects their player base.

Greetings Archon,

what are your suggestions? What do you think would be acceptable by the players? What would make you happy? Would be nice to see your suggestions in the suggestion part of the forum .

As example they could have doubled or tripled all normal contest rewards. It would still not be really awesome but at least u would have the feeling something special is going on.

Not sure why people even play this game, tournaments suck and dont give enough value. Its about fun for two months then going downhill fast.
