Global Tournaments Are Now Available!
Collect Tournament Points and Get Glorious Rewards!

A message from the marathoners!

Archons!

The gods smile upon us this day! A new game update has just become available! Sparta’s most gifted oracles have combined their knowledge and foresight to produce a new, more convenient and efficient system of interaction between Archons - Global Tournaments!

Global Tournaments are special quests that allow you to cooperate with other Archons in order to complete global objectives. Participation is optional but a wise Archon would be best to remain aware that the outcome of each Global Tournament has the potential to alter the structure of Hellas - resulting in permanent changes to the game map - and to unlock rewards and new game features for participating players.

Participation in Global Tournaments requires Archons to collect as many Tournament Points as possible by carrying out quests with various goals. The Tournament Points you collect will be stowed for safe keeping until the completion of the Tournament, at which point they will be exchanged for valuable rewards. All Global Tournaments are voluntary, and all participating Archons will be rewarded according to their contribution towards the Tournament goal.

All Archons will be divided into Classes according to their respective Level: Novice, Amateur, Professional, Veteran, Master, and Expert. The scale of your reward from completing Global Tournaments depends on which Class you belong to when you engage in the mission. Thus, even novice players can receive large rewards if they achieve the top positions in their Class - not just the most experienced players. You and your fellow Archons will be divided into Classes before each Global Tournament, and you will remain locked in that Class bracket for the duration of the Tournament, even if you level up during that time.

You can access Global Tournaments via the brand new icon in the bottom left corner of your screen. Warriors are already lining up to wreak havoc across Hellas, so be swift!

Battle to take a top spot in the Rankings and get glorious rewards!

War doesn't determine who is right - only who is left.

Does this new event replace the old persian events or is it something additional? If it is a replacement, then earning GP's just got significantly harder.

I don't think this tournament is completely new - I remember something similar a few months back. With regard to gps, yes it looks harder to get compared to normal Persian quests but, for example, I defeated a level 37 position and got 130 points - which is a lot more than for a normal Persian quest where I might have got about 50 equivalent points.

i earn 1100 point, and i lose 600k offensive and 400k defensive at lvl 30-40 persians, while in old time i only need 200k offensive to reach 100 gp and 400 drachma while now it 4x the value and stuck at 250 drachma....i would like to have the old1 because were not freedom fighter like those crazy player that can earn 50k point within 1hr....

Just because this new stupid event, im losing my idea on drawing and not in mood doing them lately because my city is dead city...all my troops dead, and the persians position liberated unit given are very very stupid low

Nothing in Common

It isn't even a money grab, because you cannot buy gps.  The new set up makes it harder for new players to get articles so that they could compete with existing players.  It completely sucks.  If I was a new player knowing how much harder it is to get gps, I would not play.

Now your game is not working.  No updates?  Can we get boosts to make up for the time we are waiting?

I totally agree onthis one. Instead making it easier for newcomers to catch up with big boys, they are doing the opposite... Opposite of reason and wisdom.

I hardly convinced a friend to join, told him about relatively easy way to earn GPs on persians and next day a brand new tournament appears which was not what I was telling him about. Well, he is gone, I`m thinking about leaving, many others too... Great job Plarium

Good work Plarium.

Let make it harder for the newer players. Brilliant thinking!

Mr. Administrator could made it much more simple to explain:

the new global quest: we made it 20x more harder

(you need 10.000 (!!) points to get 90 GP's)

thats the ONLY thing that has changed. Am i correct or not?

I played this game for many months with much pleasure, but the new Persian Quest RIP OFF AND the fact that I haven't been able to download the game all day long have turned me off completely. I have money invested in here and can't even play. No wonder people are leaving in droves.

Before you could get the 100 Gp's relatively easy compared with this new version. Plarium is really sabotaging its own game, go figure!

Talk about killing the goose that........

Plarium intends for the global tournament to replace both PVP quests and Global quests to streamline technical implementation.

Yes, the new global tournament has made GPs more difficult to earn; however, drachma rewards have been significantly increased from 400 to 3100 max. In addition, the drachma rewards for top rankings have expanded from the top 30 or 50 to the top 100. With that in mind, post here if you have any further complaints.

I was able to get 300 GPS in two weeks.  You are cancelling both and now I will get maybe 100 GPS in two weeks.  As I already paid up GPS until the Agemas, I would much rather have the increased drachma option.  I still think you are making a mistake regarding new players.

You already know every time you make a change someone is going to complain.  I will do you a favor and make a logical suggestion.  Since the GPS problem is primarily for new players (long time players don't need to buy articles) make a tier system that gives extra GPS for new players.  You did that with the PVP where a new player would need just 100 PVP to get 100 GPS, while an experienced player would need 4000 PVP to get 100 GPS.

I am a few days shy of logging in for 7 months without missing a day, and I play several hours each day. While some of the changes that have occurred were sincere attempts at making the game better, this change is not in that category. Like the others here have already mentioned, the primary purpose of the Persian Positions was for players to obtain the much needed GP's. It also allowed players to obtain troops they could not make yet. This new approach is a total and unequivocal mistake. I, like many others waited for the global quest to come every two weeks in order to obtain the much needed GP"s, and now with the metric you are using, it will take months to advance, and if like the moderator said, that this is also going to take the place of PVP then it is a worse disaster than I thought. Not only that, you better have a pocket full of drachma to revive your troops. Some have mentioned that the other rewards are better than before, but one used to be able to fight five or six positions, gain their GP's and quit if they chose until the next quest came up. In fairness, I used to gain my GP's and stop, so I am not sure what playing further would have brought me. Now, I can make most of my own troops, but in the over fifty positions I played, I received troops four times and they were not in great amounts. I played the last two days just to see if I was mistaken and this would turn out to be a good thing, but I can tell you that it has not and I will not play them again after this. I have spent money here like others and have enjoyed the game very much, and with patience I was able to progress nicely, but that will be difficult under the present configuration. Also, if this global quest is truly replacing the PVP, I will have to exist with what I can make now and hope for a return to a configuration that allows me to move ahead. The others here have made other valid arguments also with regard to this change. I hope you reconsider.
