Not respect for players

The way players are treated

I am unhappy about the way players are treated.

1. To post I had to rove that I am not  a robot. I am unhappy to be put under suspicion of being a machine. I have properly registered and I am unhappy that I am regarded as a suspicious subject.

2. The game managers twist the odds as they feel fit without notifying players. What I find most irritating is that the occupiers of an Emporium get so little credit for their defensive strength that even a rabbit could cause serious damage.

3. Whilst I am typing these words, I am notified that I have to prove again that I am not a robot. I doubt that this attitude shows any respect for human rights or the dignity of man.

I wonder how you look at these issues.

Hi ManxSerene,

  1. Regarding captchas: I'm afraid these have become necessary even for registered players, a practice you will find has been adopted by the majority of forum managers. I agree it's a bit of a bother, but IMO not to be avoided. I personally move 15 to 20 posts to spam every day, multiply that times the no. of mods and the no. of Plarium game forums and you'll have an idea how many spam posts are logged every day. Without a captcha making it difficult to script posts this number would be much much higher.

  2. Emporia, and their shortcomings are being discussed in a number of posts (such as this one) and there seems to be some movement on this issue (see here).

  3. Try seeing it this way: the dignity of man is also preserved by not having to wade through pages of spam and ads before finding a topic of interest :-)

Cheers
P.

I understand both points of wiew:when money is involved(even without) some cheater will always come across.

Let's take extra security system as a right reaction from the owner of the game.

Peace

Nobody cares.

You have to click once to tell them you're not a robot ? Well, do it and move on, if you feel offended by that, you're one of the proudest persons ever.

Number 1 and 3 are not issues.
