Young Spartans had to complete a very rigorous education program to mold them into strong soldiers.
This program was called an agoge and began at age seven, when boys had to leave their families to be brought up in barracks with other boys.

Which activity would be your favorite, Archon?

A. Reading and writing
B. Playing musical instruments, singing and dancing
C. Physical exercise and military training

Write your answer below so I can discover your talents!

C. Physical exercise and military training. Spartan women trained in physical activities as well as the men and scandalised the rest of Hellas for doing so.
