Drachmas fall from the sky ... the warriors with the golden shield flock to my city.

When all's that the contest is, is "Comment here for your chance to win 'X' drachmas", there is no way to tell if you have already done so. Since there are so many that fall in that category. I think that each contest should also be numbered, for convenience.  I mean, true it really only takes a moment to punch it up and type down a few lines but still. Also, along the lines of making contests more convenient, I think that Plarium should send you a message if you win a contest. I know most players would notice if they suddenly have an extra 2,000 drachmas when they sign in one day, but not all the awards are that obvious. Something like an additional 20 legates would be easy for me to over look since I am always training them and losing them in battle. Or what about Greek Assasins? I don't even think there is somewhere you can look to see how many you have! What's even worse even once a winner is declared its not like you can just click on the closed contest and the winner's name is showed right there at the top, you have to scroll through all the response to get down to the bottom.

Its the little things that count, you know?
