Obviously the answer is 30. Anyone saying 35 is not thinking it through. Each sword is worth 1 and multiplication trumps addition.

it depends.......if the crossed swords equal 2 then you could reason that one sword is equal to one so the correct answer would be 30....otherwise there is no possible answer because we are not given a way to calculate the value of one sword as a new symbol.
