The Xiphos was a force multiplier in close-quarters fighting. Its ability to be thrust through the gaps in shield walls or gaps in the opponents armor made it a formidable weapon - even against the Persians Damascus steel swords.


Since this sword depicted in unopposed, I give it a force multiplier factor of 3 and when opposed a force factor of 2 (the two crossed blades in the pictograph line above and factor provided of 2).
