a) and c) combined: Leonidas is going to be shredding his way down the hill of sand in the dunes of the Persian Empire only to be fired upon by a legion of archers. The arrows will force Leonidas to tumble and fall down the hill and into the pike of a nearby Spartan warrior who was looking for him. His spirit will be then sent down to Tartarus where he will meet Cerberus who charges at the Spartan King with the gut wrenching intent to kill. However, Leonidas had his trusty sword and shield with him and managed to cut down Cerberus only to find out that the beast has a splinter in its foot and proceeds to remove it and taming the Cerberus by doing so. Hades, who is impressed at this great feat then sends Leonidas to the sky realm and into the palm of Zeus's hand for him to receive a generous reward.

If he needs putting back on his board, he has probably landed on b: A Persian's pike.
