Guess the answer for a chance to win 2,000 Drachmas!

You are the leader of a military convoy moving from the North to the South of Hellas, through the plains of Larissa, with a two-night stay in the cliffs of Pharsala. It is the middle of fall. The weather is terrible. It has been raining for the past three days. What letter does the leader's name begin with? One of the Archons to give the correct answer will get 2,000 Drachmas to strengthen their army!

War doesn't determine who is right - only who is left.

After much thought and consultation with Plutarch, I have determined that in the fall of 481 B.C., Leonidas led his troops south across the plains of Larissa, spending two nights in the cliffs of Pharsala. He was enroute to Thermopylae where his Spartans fought the most decisive battle of the Second Invasion of Greece.  Leonidas and his 300 Spartans died in that battle in the fall of 480 B.C. Therefore the leader's name Leonidas, begins with the letter "L", in greek, Lamba, represented by the greek letter on the front of Leonidas's shield (an inverted "V").
