Coalition Chat

I would like to bring up the topic of chatting. When you join a coalition many members never even say hello let alone anything else in chat. Chatting and getting to know who your teammates are. is an integral part of this game.

It keeps you in touch with your coalition and vital if your goals are to better the Coalitions ranking.

Don't even bother joining if you are not going to socialize and get to know your teammates

I totally agree. One of the reasons could be that some Coalitions use Facebook chats/Teamspeak, etc. However, it could discourage someone if he says hello to his new Coalition, and gets no answer at all...

it depends, some people play this game casually, casually on social side of game, they might still raid and train a lot but chat rarely. others who play this game as solo game(usually retired people) are more on chat:)

How do I speak to my coalition? I joined them but they have been absolutely useless to me as far as helping me with the game. My coalition sucks basically. How do I drop my current coalition and join one that actually plays the game?

Go to the icon on the right side of your screen when you are in game click on the Coalition icon (it is at the bottom of the other icons) Pull up your Coalition members tab look for your name and you will see a box if you scroll over it that will say "leave Coalition" click it and you will no longer be in that Coalition.

Yes, I agree that this is a problem. Some coalitions have switched to other chat clients because they believe Plarium's open game chat is inherently insecure (you never know who's watching) and because other clients allow for a greater repertoire of information to be shared right on the chat screen (e.g., screenshots); but it's true that coalitions should use both, if only for basic meets and greets, in order to accommodate new players as well as those who are unable to download third-party applications.

Well I have been using Slack.com.It's free and  It's great for  sharing screen shots and runs a lot smoother when typing as opposed to chatting in Plariums in chat box.  It's also easier to send direct messages privately to a member if issues arise. Plus you have the abilty to create as many channels as required. E.G # Training room #General chit chat  and you can have your main room for anything Sparta related. Plus there is a mobile app as well to keep up to date with notifications if somebody leaves a message in any of the rooms.

You should try it out, you have nothing to lose.

You're right. Slack is a really good messenger. I also like it.

Agreed. I've been in coalitions that offered zero benefits to their members, had no communication, and no leadership. I'm a member of a coalition that is the exact opposite. We have 13 sister coalitons and over 1100 members. My coalition has it's own "closed group" facebook page along with a members only facebook chat. We also have a facebook page where all 13 coalitions can communicate with each other for big issues like pan takeovers and large scale coordinated attacks. We have a leadership board that coordinates the overall direction of our team and the hege of each group relays information immediately to others so we can operate swiftly when needed.

I would like to add that an in game forum would help with communication. This game relies so much on communication that a forum for the coalition to use would help out a lot.
