Participate in tournaments, capturing trader's emporium long enough to be able to collect some and logging in for 30 consecutive days.
Sometimes they also give free drachmas in special occasions like Christmas, etc. but it's very rare.
Some achievements also reward you with drachmas. You can check your achievements by clicking the small icon on the top of your level indicator on the left of your messages.
You can also participate on some forum contest to win drachmas.

You can also get them by competing in the weekly boards. They start on Monday 7am UTC - raiding, blockading, offense, defense, missions or ransom. by coming in the top 10 you can earn Drac as well.
