Game constantly crashing, and subsequent loss of troops - this is a FRAUD

Today this game crashed twice. and I was not able to access it during there period.


this AFTERNOON WHEN MY TROOPS WERE RETURNING FROM AN ATTACK THE GAME CRASHED (FOR ME) DURING THIS TIME MY city WAS RAIDED AND i LOST MOST IF NOT ALL MY OFFENSIVE TROOPS.


So presumable during the down time others are allowed to access to the game and a free hand to attack, this is fraud. !!!!


I want my troops back and I want some sort of explaination

If the plarium servers go down, means game is down to all of us, not just for some, if your friends were able to continue to play well my advise, check your computer please, if not, please contact our support team, they can investigate what really happened and help you.

Sorry my friend but ,for some of my friends the game is still inaccesible,and some of them have  already  suffered heavy loses...It's not fair for the facebook users (who can play without problem) to have privileges in comparison with other players...You sould at least warn them that you were about to close the servers for maintainance...People are losing money right now, and nobody seem to care..

The game was down for most of today for me.  Obviously you guys(Plarium) had some major problems.  My troops were killed during this period as the FB gamers took advantage of this situation.  If this matter is not addressed properly I will be walking away from this game after investing heavily in time and some money.

Hi there,


I am surprised to read this... I am a player for 6 months now and none of the downtimes I have encountered it was ever global...

Since this afternoon (for the last 6 hours more or less) some of my coa members are having trouble logging in. For some the issue was resolved at some point, but some of them are still unable to access any page / login / forum.

I understand that technical issues cannot be always predicted but I see no recognition from Plarium, no effort to inform the players nor to keep them updated for resolution times (even estimated resolution times).

This situation is unfair for a number of reasons:

- losses of offensive army (returns from raids that are not send in to the Acropolis)

- losses of newly produced army (especially when we cannot login for so many hours)

- losses of potential awards from timed missions / tournaments / tasks... not to mention challenges / wars

Moreover, many people see this situation (and I don't blame them) as a means to obligate players to spend real money on the game for the first time or spend larger amounts in order to protect themselves against these losses.

Could we please, have a clear and honest explanation for the measures that Plarium is ready to apply in order to reimburse the players that suffer losses or are treated unfairly because of these non-global downtimes?

I hope you do not ignore all these people that were posting messages to the game facebook page and the forums... we love this game and we want to continue playing... don't make us leave.

most users get an error message that the main server does not respond - they cannot access any page under http://plarium.com/

Everyone at Plarium needs to be more informed of the problems they have caused trying to implement changes while the servers are at maximum load. They have managed to crash nearly all the servers and access nodes for the game.  The game went down at approximately 3 am EST U.S. time. I was not able to get back on until 8 AM my time, and I have not shut my computer off for fear of not getting back on. Nearly 90 percent of the European users in my coalition are not able to get online. A lot of my fellow coalition members in the United States are not able to get online. 


It was plain to see this morning that Plarium was trying to introduce new startup pages for their games, and those pages are not to be seen now, but you could see them earlier in the day. Players who use Facebook as an entry way were able to log on without issue at all times, and as said in another post, those users have taken advantage of this fact and raided cities of those who cannot respond.


For a forum moderator to say that what affects one, affects all, is not a good thing. The problem is sporatic, and seems to affect certain areas of certain countries and continents.


Plarium will have to fix this for their users that lost troops. It will be the only fair thing to do. The users didn't crash the servers, Plarium did in one fashion or another. By the way, Wainfinity above, is a member of my coalition. He hasn't been able to access his game.  Our coalition chat is empty, I am the only one there.

It is broke Plarium, put out a notice and admit it.

same thing happened here.I was doing some positions when the crash happened.I wasnt able to get back on until now and in the meantime I have had all my offence destroyed.Offence that I payed real money for.Can somebody tell me how to get a reimbursement for this.


Now to top it off when I try to contact support there is a problem with the request saying that all fields ahve not been filled when they have.REALLY COME ON

LOL,So basically you're telling us that 100's upon 1000's of people's computers all broke at the same time? did some magical elves come to us all 6hrs or so later and fix them all? Our computers only broke for plarium servers but worked fine for the rest of the internet,is that what you're saying? I know there was 2 members in our coal that remained online all this time while everyone else who was trying to access the game couldn't get in..So yeah there was people playing during this problem while others couldn't.

If you still can't login, please try to use Google DNS. We will post the instruction soon.

HONESTLY (caps intentional) Nuno Paiva, if you don't know what you're talking about than shut it. Instead of being denigrating to players you might provide some USEFUL information (caps intentional).

How about support team contact us? Very soon i'll quit this nonsense.
From our side, we will restore the Loyalty progress of our players who could not login on 04/05/2016. However, if you had any other losses during the downtime, you need to contact our Support Team for the investigation.

I have tried to contact the support team and I am still waiting for a reply. 


In one of the posts it says that google chrome no longer suppports the flash drivers in this  programme. what internet surfing programme should I use.

I play our games in GC, and it works fine for me as for many of our players. Please wait for the response of our Support Team, they will clarify this situation for you.

Hello,

We would like to apologise for the inconveniences caused to you by the recent issue with the game loading.

Once our developers located the reason of the error, they took the immediate steps to rectify it. However, we see that you and other players could not log into the game for some time and might have experienced some losses.

Therefore, we created the following compensation package to make amends for this situation:

- 7 days Dominion Activator

- 4-hour Universal Boost Item

- 30,000 of each Resource

- 15 Agema Horsemen

- 2 Scrolls of Wisdom

The Units were added to the Acropolis while Items and Resources to My Items tab of Market.

Besides, we restored the daily bonus for players which were unable to login during the downtime.

Once again, accept our apology for any inconvenience.

We will do our best to prevent such issues in the future.

if you play on the Plarium website server then it wont have been facebook gamers taking advantage as they are on a different server


Plarium website players have their own server


Facebookers have 2 servers that are 1) seperate from the plarium version and 2) seperate from each other, it may well be that the person who raided you launched their raid just before the server went down and you didnt see it. The correct proceedure here is to report it via plarium support and be patient as they will have been flooded with similar requests from other players, a screenshot of the riad that killed your units might help as it will be date and time stamped

Hello Archon,


The game can't crash because it's NOT on your computer. If i would crash, then it would affect everybody at the exact same time, which is not the case, right ?


You're only connected to a website using Adobe Flash as a client plug-in in your web browser.


It's your web browser, and more specifically, Adobe Flash Player, that's crashing all the time.


Actually, you should yell at Adobe instead : they're the ones doing crap. Sparta being a huge and heavy game, Flash is hogging all the available RAM (volaitile memory) in your computer and quickly reaches its limits.


In order to reduce (you cannot prevent it) crashes frequency, you have to :


- Use a better Flash compliant browser. Google Chrome or Chromium are undoubtfully the ones gving the best results. Apparently, Microsoft Egde is also behaving satisfactorily enough.


- Have more RAM in your compouter. However, 32 bits systems can't see more than 3.5 GB of RAM (approximately : some can get up to 3.75 GB, some no more than 3.25 GB, depending on your motherboard). I'm the least annoyed with Flash crashes with a 64 bits Windows 10 on an i7 with 16 GB of RAM... But even there, it crashes after several hours of continuous use.

- Using several web sites using Flash at the same time (such as several Parium games on separate tabs, YouTube or any other embedded Flash videos or online games) will dramatically accelerate how often Flash will crash, so avoid this at any cost : when plaing sparta, don't open any other Flash website.



OK, this are passive remedies. Now for the active ones :


- As soon as you can see the game seems to become less responsive and, in particular, the troops travel times are not updated correctly (easy to notice when using boosts and times don't update), refresh the web page. You should then avoid crashes.


- Even doing this, you won't avoid Flash to finally crash sooner or later. So after you've been uting the game for a logn time, and especially if you've used some of the heavier features, completely close your web browser, and reconnect to the game.


- At least once a day, or once week if you're not playing heavily, clear your web browser cache then close your browser and reconnect to the game.


Some of the game features are especially RAM consuming. The absolute worse ones are : visting other players cities, the ingame chat, and the ingame messenger.

For instance, if you're visiting your friends cities to give them heroes, you'll have to restart at least every 25 visited cities (or even sooner), or you'll so badly crash Flash you'l be forced to clear the cache.



We've learnt to live with this... Flash was certainly the worst choice as an online clien, but now it's done and all we can do it to adapt ourselves.

All we can do is to learn how to solve the problems when they come. But nothing can be done to prevent Flash from crashing : it in its genes, in a way. Actually, it has always been crap since the very first days of Shockwave Flash that Adobe has bought.

Complain to Adobe Inc. if you're not happy : maybe they'll fix it, though I doubt about it. ^^
