Galley Trick to Increase Rain

How come I can no longer send galleys to bot cities right before my raid lands to increase my booty?

I ALWAYS get a message that the city has ALREADY received the maximum amount of  resources it can receive for the day!

I used to get up to 97.5k in resources....I am limited to 50K

Any comments appreciated!!!!

You mean you used to send resources to bot cities in order to get more than 50k but now you can't do it anymore ?

Exactly....but now every time I try to send resources.....i get a message that the city is maxed out on the number of shipments it can receive for the day.

Archon can you provide us with screenshot please?

you sure it is not you who have reached the maximum that you can send per day?

Also all cities have a limit of what they can receive daily ...

It's a tactic used by certain players who are the only ones getting the "100k" per hit, quite clever really as you'll notice how them cities are always full and they have the date and time for when they need to add 50k to stop  galley trick's on them lines.

Actually, the trick consists in canceling the galleys load, so you get back your own resources.

As such, it's only used for quests (asking to collect 75 K resources, etc.) and doesn't actually steal any resources from the target (nor actually gives any).

If the message says targets have received too much resources already, then it means some players have been actually sending resources to them and didn't cancel the galleys, meaning the resources have actually reached the cities.

Of course, there's a "double galleys trick" consistng in sending a real load that will reach the target in addition to the cancelled one, but it's hard to master, as the galleys need to be sent, reach the target, get back to your city, then be sent again, all during your raid, between the moment you send your troops and the moment they reach it.

Maybe if someone has used this trick, then the city may have reached the maximum resources it can get. This is still quite hard to achieve and generally rare. Some players may also have missed the 50 seconds limit and couldn't recall their galleys, or forgot to recall them...

Finally, the player managing your target may also really have received resources.

And don't tell me they're bots : this doesn't exist. Some cheaters are using scripts to chain create multi accounts, that's why their cities are aligned around the border of the map, as for any newly created cities, but there are still human cheaters behind, and they can sometimes log on manually to use their cities.

After all, they created them for a purpose, and certainly not to advantage YOU, but only themselves. Attacks on these cities probably bother them, so maybe they're exchanging resources between these cities (even using scripts to automate this), just to discourage you, after all...

Anyway, Leonidas has asked for coordinates, so he can track and punish the cheaters. You should report them to Plarium or in private message to Leonidas, so they can investigate, please.

You mean we should tell you the coordinates of these lines of cities so as to delete them ?

It's up to to you, but yes. Plarium knows they're using scripts, but they have to find where and who.

What they do is multi-accounting, and it's forbidden.

Note that maybe they've done this only to finish the Hall of Xenia achievement and may now have dropped them.

Now you do what you want : it you'd rather use them and don't say anything... But in this case, talking about them on the forum wasn't a good idea in the first place. :D

Actually, I prefer not to say anything, but there are plenty of them everywhere, everybody uses them ! Let's say we haven't talked about it at all then

I've been told yesterday  most of them are held by a unique Russian player using massive scripting to create and grow them.

He may as well be sending resources from one to another, so the sending limit can be reached.

Never forget bots don't exist. They're not managed by the game, but by a player, even if he uses scripts. He's the accounts holder and can do whatever he wants with them. If you're not happy, then message him to complain... :D LOL

Or even better, transmit their coordinates with screenshots etc. to Plarium, so they can smite them. Techincal support is meant for this. The forum can nothing for you.

Yep, I know Plarium has nothing to do with them.

But I'm not complaining at all, and I didn't ask for support on the forum so as to delete them^^

We are deviating from the initial topic, I guess you can close it if it's been answered to...

Give that Russian player a beer!  They Bot cities have been absolutely instrumental in growth throughout hellas for thousands of players who use them and I think we all know the exact coordinates and how all three lines encompass hellas in a perfect square.  If an outside source has the capability to improve the quality of the game by placing with precision cities throughout hellas, I'd like to buy the man some drachma.
